30yds rushing = 2INT

plain and simple. Stop the madness with these rediculous threads. If you cant run the ball the defense doesnt respect the run and will drop back and pick you off. Unfortunately that what happen in a crucial situation. I cant even remember the last time a team rushed for 30yds and won a game let alone be competative. Hope our run blocking will get better.
 
I think we played well as we can with the amount of rushing we had.


Willie parker ran over 100yds maybe I might be crazy that might be the reason Heath Miller was so wide open.

all pittsburgh did was back up and look into daunte's eyes and boom..picked off

hell, if i was pittsburgh and i had the dolphins running game stopped, i wouldve did the same
 
i think what daunte did with no running game was pretty impressive tonight. the ints suck, but outside of that he had us in a position where we should have won.
 
whatever you gotta tell yourself to get through the day...daunte was not sharp at all tonight. he's thinking about his knee and who can blame him. let's just hope he's able to put it out of his mind sooner than later.

Bull****. He threw for 262 yds with no running game against pittsburgh D. He should of had 362 yds if Chambers Booker and McMike didnt drop passes.
 
Not to mention that we were in a position where we had to throw. Trailing in the 4th Qtr the Steelers would've gladly obliged if we wanted to run the ball as long as we didn't burn them in the passing game. That's why Porter dropped back on Pep's last int.
 
exactly. defenses wont play you honest if you have no run game. makes a defenders life a lot easier when you know you dont have to commit to the run
 
On Cpep 2nd int they 7 defenders in the box. And how many of them rushed? only 3 plus a delay blitz by troy. Porter who was on the line dropped back into coverage and pick it off. No respect for the run game. I dont blame them.
 
Our run blocking is extremely pathetic.

Bennie Anderson is huge for nothing. He should retire & join Weight Watcher's.
 
I agree. Even guys like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would have a hard time throwing in the second half if their team had 30 yards and had abandoned the run. I know this is a shock to those Patriot fan trolls who pose as Fins fans on these boards, but yes, Tom Brady would struggle. He is not the Jesus of QBs.
 
Daunte threw 2 picks because we had no running game. The steelers knew this. Daunte would have thrown for 300+ if our oline would've shown up. Daunte was trying to make somthing outta nothing.

I'm not one that's going to verbally throw Daunte under the bus BUT he was clearly slow in making decisions tonight, making some bad decisions and made many poor passes. There is no doubt about it. He easily could have had 5 INT's that I counted.

Yes the Steeler D has a lot to do with that and the lack of running game but Daunte had a lot to do with it as well.

He was not sharp at all.

Again, I'm not agreeing with the Daunte sucks crowd but I'm not going to praise a player that played poorly one game just to counter that group either.

Daunte did play poorly.
Having said that, I'm not worried about him.

What worries me is the same thing that worried me before this game ever started. OL and Secondary.

Daunte has the talent to sharpen up his play.
It's the OL and secondary that I fear may not have the talent to improve much.
 
There seems to be few people that understand the reason behind the game, and i have to give it to amars because he seems to have the point here. The Fins were not as bad as some of these so called fans are making them out to be. i have alot of hope in the Fins and I know that what we saw tonight wil be a rare sight in fin land . I still beleive, and I hope there are a few out there that still do, because I need someone to celabrate with later in the year.
