This game was still within reach late in the 4th quarter lets remember that, but besides the defense getting gashed we have to put some of the blame on the offensive redzone play-calling. After that nice catch from marshall we had the ball down on like the 12yrd line I believe. It was 21-14 and could have tied it up at 21-21, but then dan henning must have entered dabolls body because the playcalling was terrible! 1st down run up the middle to bush, waste of a play, 2nd down weird looking slant to marshall, should have spread em out more and gave henne some more options, 3rd down another pass to marshall in front of the goal-line, all three plays were bland and conservative and resulted in a FG, 21-17, then with 6 minutes left in the game we have a TD reversed and have the ball on the 1inch line and out of all plays call a fade to hartline? are u kidding me! if your gonna throw a fade at all throw it to marshall! there were so many other options there, silent snap qb sneak it was an inch! or have bush lineup at WR and come in motion and get the hand-off and hit the perimeter, pitch to bush, slam it with LJ, anything besides a fade to hartline! we could of been down 31-28 or 31-24 with 6 minutes left! For the most part the offense played well but these 2 redzone possessions drove me crazy and changed the whole game!

I agree we gotta be able to punch the ball in from the 1 yard line. We used Hillard to get the fourth and 1 early in the game and he got it easily, then when we have the chance to use him twice from the 1 yard line we go away from it. I just think Daboll got a little to cute after seeing New England throw it for TD's in those same situations. I'm guessing that he and Tony will have a talk about how to handle those situations in the future.

You can spin it any way you like...we flat out got beat...badly....I don't care how close we got the score. They owned us...

Agree for sure about the play calling. Don't know what they were thinking.

A loss is a loss, but you would think we got beat 50-14, by the way some people are spinning it. Henne should have gone right up the middle on the 4th and one late in the game. That would have cut it to 7. It may not have made any difference, but despite how bad our defense played Henne threw for 416 yards and we scored pretty regularly. For a first game I am not bummed out....but we have to step it up against Houston.

We need to score touchdowns. Especially against teams like the Patriots. Touchdowns, not field goals.

I understand why you kick the field goal.. but if you want to rile the fans up, give them hope that you've got the balls to be aggressive and win at all costs... don't kick the field goal and put the game in your offenses hands.

While we were more aggressive than in recent rears... we still don't have that killer attitude.

The first drive was pure artwork. From there we only had a couple more drives that looked like that one. The remaining drives looked like someone who called plays for the 31st ranked offense in 2010

That's a good way to rile up the fans, go for it on 4th and goal 2 yards or more down by 7 in the 3rd quarter.

You may not like that fade call but the fact is that is a call that will be made 50% of the time by teams without a power running team.

Bush couldn't get through on the goalline. Hilliard got stopped on the goalline.

I also thought Henne had the option to audible?

The playcalling wasn't the only problem, Henne threw an uncatchable ball on a few of those goal to go situations. The WR'S also dropped a couple.

When you have a QB that throws uncatchable balls, and when you have Marshall dropping a TD pass and running a bad route earlier in the game. When you get Hilliard and Bush getting stuffed in the middle on goal to go situations......

How can you Honestly blame or critiscize the playcalling?
