With the recent moves we now have $31 million to spend. Oh Boy! who can we buy with that kind of money?

LT-Max Starks ( can play LT or RT )
S-Ken Hamlin ( MUST HAVE )
CB-Marcus Trufant ( if they let him hit the FA market )
WR-Bernard Berrian ( he's got great speed )

These are just a few that I would like to see in TEAL next year!

Can you itemize for us what our savings were with each release?

before you get too excited, know this:

1. the best teams in the league are built through the draft, not FA.

2. high priced, big name players arent for 1-15 teams in the middle of an overhaul, they're for teams that feel they're "a player away"

We where already at $22 million under the cap before we made the moves.

Booker saved us around $4.3 million
Green saved us around $ 2 million
Traylor saved us around $ 1.5 million
Shelton saved us around $1.5 million

Faneca, the Guard from the Steelers would be a nice pickup...he still has a lot of good years in him and I think we need to shore up our offensive line, then maybe go after a CB.

We have too many holes to fill by draft alone. Having one or 2 quality Free Agents to come in wont hurt IMO.
I'd pull the trigger on Trufant if he was available.

Yes that is true but, Starks is ONLY 25 yrs old and has plenty of playing time ahead of him. He can also shore up the line aswell for years to come.

We will probably get some o-line , a WR, A CB, a Safety, and draft alot of players. I guarantee you Bill and Jeff won't spend all that money in one year. Bills rebuilding usually takes 2 years. I don't think he ever had this type of cap room though and I think our team is way better than 1-15. We also lost 6 games by 3 pts or less so I beleive it was a lack of will to play for Cams regime.

i fully expect for quality free agents to come in and help out, my point was regarding tying up big $$ into 2-3 high priced FA's. when you have too many holes to fill, 2 or 3 big names isnt going to do your team alot of good.

Amen Brother, Amen to that

We should cut a few more and free up even more room. Guys like Tillman, Liwienski etc. Watching video of Liwienski in the second half of the season and he was God Awful. He was getting bulled backwards over and over. He never seemed like he could plant and anchor. He also looked very sluggish as well.
