Sirspud said:Who gives a crap what happened in Pittsburgh last year, AJ has played better every time he has gotten the ball both at the end of last year and in the preseason. Never in his last few preseason or regular season games has he had as horrible of a game has any of Frerotte's last few, and Frerotte has had 3 bad ones.
So AJ Was a little worse in his first start for the Fins in a brand new offense, during a hurricane, against perhaps the best defense in the NFL; compared to Gus , playing in a familiar offense for the third straight year, against an aging Bucs defense in the pre-season. You just made it so much clearer to me, AJ should start the season.Jimmy James said:If I'm not mistaken, that's .1 better than Feeley was against Pittsburgh last year.

Jimmy James said:You didn't mention the fact that the Steelers were a darn good team that went deep in the playoffs, but you otherwise laid out the argument I'd expect the AJ folks to make based on that stat.
The Gus argument would be that AJ had a bad game against the Steelers and Gus did tonight -- so what?
Like I say, I can't get too worked up either way.

JJ, I can't believe you are tossing out statistics from last year, those have no comparsion at all to this year, (I mean, there are no common factors to look at or to compare even scientifically, different coaches for one, and that was a regular season game, and this was after all a Preseason game..)Jimmy James said:If I'm not mistaken, that's .1 better than Feeley was against Pittsburgh last year.
