I was just watching SportsWrap on CBS4 here and they were doing a little series on who was the last guy to wear the number 34- It was Cecil Collins, and where is he now in Prison, and he won't get out at least till 2014 now there are a couple of similarites and differences between Collins and Williams, and how those two are connected to the fins crime troubles and how to fix it:
  1. Both were Drug users
  2. Collins- Assulted his wife
  3. Both were RB that came out of college during this problems Collins(LSU), Williams (Texas
  4. Both have been compared to each other as having very suspectible careers because of their past history
  5. Williams was compared to Jim Brown who retired early during his prime, but Williams decided to come back (Thank You Saban)
Can someone verify this but didn't Williams have some sort of connection with LSU or Louisiana in General

  • Soon after Collins came to the Dolphins- Wannstedt and Speilman came into the picture, and crimes rated from DUI to assault, to reckless driving started happening to the Dolphins
How to stop this:
Retire number 34 before it is to late!!!!

Well, that makes for nice press and all.............but they are wrong.

Travis Minor was the last player to wear #34 for the Dolphins. He switched to #28 after Ricky arrived in 2002.

His rushing could be considered a crime...

Aww dont hate on travis he is a good back up RB

When he had a chance to start is was behind the worst O-line in football, cant blame him

If anything their blocking was a crime

he was an awful 3rd down back when ricky was hot and the OL was decent, so therefore Minor sucks! His running was PS material

His first 3 seasons he averaged

4.8
4.1
4.7

yards a carry

He was a very good third down back

No curse involved. It just so happens that we had a couple of big time losers wearing the Number 34. Ronnie Brown should wear #34. He would bring respectability back to that number.

Thank you. I wish people would stop hating on Travis Minor. He is NOT a starting-caliber running back. Period. But he had success as a back-up, first behind Lamar Smith, and then Ricky. He was good at spelling them when they needed a breather and his stats speak for themselves. Just because he is not starter material does not mean he sucks. He is good at what he does, and plus he is solid on special teams.
