J. Long and Gholston tied for the most reps of 225 at the combine with 37.

Anybody else find it interesting that Parcells wants to put the strongest top talent in the trenches?

I pushed out 8 reps the other day, and should be available as an UDFA.

Just a heads-up for Bill, Jeff and Tony.

Not bad for your age. Planning a comeback, Mr. Harris?

We will really be on to something when they start benching on the field.

Or maybe Scott Young. He has one start in the league in three years, but man were those 43 reps impressive.

Mike Mamula had a ton of reps as well. He had top notch incredible speed too.

Look what happened to him. The problem with Mamula and why he busted was that his hips stunk, Bad change of direction ability, Gholston's hips are way too stiff ... That's a HUGE red flag on him.. Not a good "football" player at the NFL level., like Mamula. ... Mamula is Another Vernon Gholston with his bad hips and his low 37 tackle count last year...

Gholston can get away with below average hips in college, but not at the NFL level. No way no how man.........

Hips are incredibly important when you are on defense and you are reacting to plays at a fraction of a second... Lawrence Taylor was so awesome because he didn't have human hips.. LT had the best hips out of the LB spot I have ever seen.

On a more serious note, there is more to strength than the bench. Alot of it is body control and leverage, something that is nearly impossible to test and only possible to observe through watching tape.

Jared Allen, who is a pretty good player for KC only did 9 reps. The Bench is not all what it is cut out to be. Like was previously stated, leverage and body type have alot to do with your performance.
