Im as optimistic a fan as anyone else, and i loved the win yesterday. there were a lot of good things, but our defense on third down as terrible. there were two drives where we had them at 3rd and around 15 and let them convert, only to have them score tds on both drives. there were a lot of 3rd and 5+ drives and the dreaded 3rd and 28 with a ridiculius pi from bell. i attribute this to our weak secondary, they cant tackle or stay on their guys for very long it seems like.
Its funny that people get on saban because he hasnt been abe to win with these players right away. the truth is saban is coaching his way and finding out what the weak links are...and although we played a great game, our secondary still held us down. thats not coaching, thats just bad execution.
