ive always had henning's back because of our lack of talent, but if the bucs zero blitz in 3rd down passing situations and we continue to try and square peg the round hole with a 2 back max protect package it's time for him to go. there are so many ways to smoke that blitz and trying to pick it up is NOT one of them. if henning doesn't know that much he's useless. and while im ******** can we quit running the bess quick screen already? please? how many times do they need to see it not work before they quit calling it?

The best screen call was on 3rd and 19, no one saw that coming. The element of surprise really elludes Henning sometimes, he might as well ran a draw.

Whenever we see blitzes coming, we keep a TE or RB in to block. I would like us to do the opposite - get the RB or TE out for a quick pass behind the blitzers. I think in time we will see Henne able to make that adjustment at the line.

I agree. And a few time's I've sen the D stack it up and Henne is under center... He needs to back up in the gun when he sees that. I don't think its Henne's fault. It seems he has no authority but to call a time out.

Also, In the same scenario, we have 2 backs, 2 TE and 1 WR. I'm not understanding some of the sets we use in certain situations.

I don't believe he hasn't seen it, that play has been played against us all season long... Damn put bess in the slot and Ricky or Ronnie in the back field for a screen.

THAT HALF *** ROLLOUT? I hate that ****. Thanks for making a thread. It worked once in the Jet game on monday night like 5 weeks ago. Every team in the past 4 weeks since has blitzed with great results. Every team we blitz burns us. Talent has little to do with it. That Bess screen is the only screen in our play book. I'd rather see it to Ginn sometimes. We need a running back screen implemented into our offense from all formations. Every team in the NFL runs about 5-10 screens a game. We run 1-2 MAYBE. I've been calling for it since week 2 and the 3 times we have run it I think we have a total of 80 yds gained. Ricky and Ronnie are great pass catchers, know how to use their blocks, and run wild in the open field. They are probably our best WR's anyway.

We need to get Henning some damn tape of Ronnie's 06 season where he just TORE IT UP on screens!

This is the most infuriating thing to watch. We all the blitz coming, the O-line sees it, then Chad Henne sees it. Meanwhile Henning who made the play call and Sparano are sitting on the sideline and they see it coming too. But nobody does anything. I have to put a little bit on Chad because he's gotta learn to audible, adjust protection or just call a timeout. But this mostly sits square on the shoulders of Dan Henning. Against the jets we ran a screen in the same situation and it worked great. And coach Sparano, if you see your young QB about to get lit up on an all out blitz, maybe just call a timeout. Better to lose a timeout than a QB. Sorry for rambling nut man those 3rd and longs are hard to watch.

chad is failing on 3rd down just as he is being setup to do by henning's lousy scheme. there is no aud. these are specific packages they work on during the week with option routes for the WRs determined by whether the D blitzes or not.

It is becoming painfully obvious each week our blitz audible is either a timeout or force the called play. We formation ourselves right into a blitz, open up with Bess split wideout and Fasano and Hayno's in a 3 point stance, here comes the blitz. Third and long Henne under center with Fasano Cam and Bess split wide, here it comes again. Serious in long down situations put the kid in the shotgun, let him see more off the field and defense. Also that stupid shotgun roll right play, I could go the rest of my life without seeing that play again. GREAT it worked against the Jets, now how do they stop it simple roll the safety drop the outside line backer in coverage, which floods the field that we shortened for them. Next every player on the backside of the formation reacts by attacking the QB.

Concur

It Doesn't What Personel Is On The Field If We Can't Win Man To Man Quickly I Repeat Quickly And Whats Quickly A Big Wr Saying Get The Hell Out The Way Im Open, We Don't Have Anyone Other Than Ted Ginn Who Can Get Open That Quick Bu Hell He Scared To Go Over The Middle. The WR screen to Bess is always a disaster. I absolutely hate that play. What the hell are they thinking throwing the ball out to our slowest receiver. He isn't going to beat anyone with his feet. The defense blows it up every time. I guess it is a feeble attempt to get the ball to a guy in space but there is no space by the time it develops.

I hope that play leaves but you know they will keep calling it.

it could get worse.teams know that without ginn, and i know he cant catch. we cant get seperation at the wr spot.why not blitz, it gives the defense the edge.plus like you guys have said.we never dump off to the backs .henne is never in the shot gun,and the wr patterns are very simple and easy to game plan for.the fact is that most throws are going to be covered, and have to be perfect.i feel that all of are remaining games will be close and hard fought.great for the young guys, but maybe not for the win column.we are in year 2 of the plan.
