Again can someone explain to me why Harrington should be the unquestioned starter? I heard his bad passes weren't his fault, that he looked comfortable back there. But I saw the game and the offense didn't do anything in the 2nd half. Harrington was harrassed, pulled down the ball and was sacked which was bailed out by a face mask call that didn't need to happen. He threw behind his receivers. We were just 3 points down for most of the half but the offense did nothing when giving a short field.

I commend Harrington for looking poise in the first half and moving the offense but their are moments were the offense has moved the ball before and hell it even has resulted in a win before. Why are people claiming the offense looked so amazing? 10 pts and 14 points for the other team? 4-14 on 3rd down?

Someone tell me why Harrington should be the unquestioned starter.

He completed passes to receivers other than Chambers and Welker. He looked around the field. Only got sacked once, by his facemask no less. Reacted to the pressure of the defense. Looked for the open receiver. Got the ball of quickly.

Yes, he did move the ball. Sure, they have work to do in the Red Zone. But, he got us close to the red zone, almost every drive.

But the results were the same. And Daunte has spread the ball around quite a bit too. People might complain that Chambers hasn't gotten enough touches but he didn't with Harrington in there either.

Again why should Harrington be the unquestion starter. Because you claim he reacted to pressure and looked for the open receiver? Who cares if the results are the same.

Yeah, the results were the same but he did give us some hope. With CP in the game I never feel like we have a snowballs chance in a hot climate.

But you're talking about feelings etc. Feelings don't score points or cost you points. Just because you don't believe he'll perform doesn't mean he won't. Daunte has made some clutch throws in clutch situations.

if daunte had the time joey did in the first half, their would have been many scoring drives

if daunte had the time joey did today in the first 4 weeks we might be in the playoff hunt

lets not be kidding ourselves here. New England still has one of the leagues toughest defenses for QBs. There was no running game and they were on the road.

Harrington did well considering the situation. Daunte has faced all losing record teams thus far and still hasn't performed well. Harrington played well enough to beat the Patriots. The Dolphins as a team just kept shooting themselves in the foot time and time again.

That is why he should be the starter. He actually moved the offense, provided some spark. Hell, McMichael finally had a good game. Go figure. There is no doubt Harrington could have done better but he definatly played well enough to win and because of that he deserves a second chance. Unlike Mr. Drive Killer who is 1-3 with the only win coming due to the heroic defense in the Titans game.

you just dont get it. I thought I posted Dauntes sacks totals in another thread. DAUNTE HOLDS ONTO THE BALL TOO LONG. Has nothing to do with oline play. You think in 7 days they just magically transformed? Harrington was making quick decisions. Not to mention people know you just blitz Daunte and he freezes like a deer in headlights.

No, Daunte didn't perform and in four games never looked in sync with the offense, that's what I'm talking about.

Oh brother. So you think the OL just happened to play better today? Joey didn't have more time, he just got rid of the ball. If you want to argue about the end result thats one thing, but to say the OL played better for Joey than for Daunte is ridiculous.

It is soooooooo sweet that you guys have been going from thread to thread defending your man...you guys must really love him. Like battered wives protecting their man at all cost...it really is cute.

Harrington did OK. But his performance today was reminicent of Jay Fiedler. Looking all around decent, but the tendency for the big mistake. I do think Daunte should take notes on getting rid of the football. Joey is the type of QB that will break your heart, often....

WE gotta stick with Culpepper, the o-line didnt do **** the first 4 games and harrington had time all day to throw it and still made 2 costly picks that ended up being the difference, Culpepper didnt throw any pics last week, its not his fault the o-line wont block and saban never throws the ball down field, im tired of having starters like joey harrington, people need to be patient, give culpepper time and in a year or 2 we'll be contending for a super bowl

culpepper for life

It was simple, Harrington made quick decisions. It was clear as day today. But I agree, we stalled so much once we got in NE territory it was sickening.

Harrington was sharp, but the offense as a whole did no better where it counts, the score. Miami just did not finish drives. BUT Harrington took a lot more shots downfield. Although when pressured he was erratic.

But b/c Harrington moved the team into NE territory so much, and if you minus the false starts and such (especially the holding call that negated a long Harrington pass to Booker at the 2yd line), there is a good chance Miami may have pulled this game off today.
