How can a guy get busted for taking cold medicene? I dont know about the rest of the country but in SoCal you cant even bye cold and sinus meds in the store anymore. You have to go through more security than the airport just to get some freakin allergy medicene. I know its because of the Tweakers but come on! 4 Games? :fire::refuse:

seems a little ridiculous, but these are the rules Sammy agreed to play by when he signed that contract. Seems like you gotta have a doctor's note every time you drink a Gatorade these days.

what steams me is our trainer said he gave it to him??:fire:

I wouldnt mind it as much if that actually found steroids, or coke or whatever but just for ephedra.... I dont care if it was Romanowiski it just seems a little rediculous. Like you said especially when they said it was prescribed.

One note. Ephedra is what killed Kory Stringer, well that and the fact that he was 350 lbs and running like crazy in 100 degree heat. None the same, they have since taken it off the market completely.

Funny thing, I have a feeling that this wasnt Sammy's first altercation of the Substance abuse policy.

Sammy should get allergy tested and take allergy shots ... maybe some 24 hour allegra ... that is, if it's legal with the NFL. Much better than that sudafed stuff. That stuff ain't good for you.

If Sammy needs more energy he should go to a nutritionist (I hear Joe Toledo's mother is one) so he can be put on a better diet. That junk food will really sap your energy if you eat it all the time. I read a book called "Ultrametabolism" and it talks all about the crap in most people's diet and what it does to you. Eat bad foods and you'll feel bad and have low energy. Eat good foods and you'll feel a lot better, be healthier and have a lot more energy. That's probably why a lot of the guys like Zach and Ronnie, other players in the NFL like T.O. and Rudi Johnson are hiring personal chefs and nutritionists to make good meals for them .... 5 small ones a day with only fresh veggies and fresh chicken, salmon, good fats, etc.

The 'ephedra killed Stringer' thing was never verified. Further, I thought the autopsy had proven he didn't have any ephedra in his system.

If Morris really tested positive for taking a cold medicine, the NFL needs to seriously examine its policies. Steroids are one thing. A cold remedy is something else entirely - and it sure isn't a performance enhancer.

Actually, there was an entire string (No pun intended) of deaths attributed to Ephedrine, most notable was amongst High School athletes. Probably because it was readily available and cheap....Go and try to find it...it used to be in every truck stop and circle K in the country. No longer on the shelves man....

Couldn't I just get a Sudafed?

Deaths are attributed to incorrect causes all the time. For example Stringer and ephedra. Peanut allergies are blamed for deaths so often that many schools are banning peanut butter sandwiches. Reality is that peanut related deaths are very rare. I don't know whether ephedra kills people or not, but I do know that the media often gets it wrong. Even when things are disproved later, the original rumor keeps getting repeated. Kind of like you did with regards to Stringer.

I don't think you get 4 games for a first offense either.

Nope, I was thinking that first offense is treatment (Without even going public of the altercation). Second was 4 games and third was a year....thats my thoughts anyways.
