*This statement is made with the writer's firm prediction that New England will lose atleast one more game this season, most likely to the Arizona Cardinals in two weeks*

Because the Jets lost Sunday, to the 49ers nonetheless, we have the availability to lose this game as long as we win our final two. Its comforting to know as a nervous fan, the Fins can lose this Sunday, and we SHOULD still be fine in our final crucial two final games.

Yes, winning is sweet and I hope we get Singletary to kick more players out of the game but it's nice to know that, if, and thats a big if, we were to somehow lose to the now-Gore-less 49ers, it wouldn't be the end of our playoff run. I'd like to think of the 49ers and Chiefs game as merely a practice run for that final, hyyyyuuuge game @ the Meadowlands in the final week of the regular season.

Well if the Pats lose, we can afford to lose this, but if we lost to the Chiefs, I think that'd end it; but besides, if we're a playoff team, we need to beat a team like the 49ers in our stadium.

yea i agree 100% but this place (finheaven) would go nuts if we somehow lost to the 49ers so im just trying to inform people that its not over if the Fins lose to the 49ers lol we'll still be okay! (Like i said though, thats with the idea that the Cards high powered offense will be too much for the, dare i say it, pathetic Patriots defense- Seneca Wallace throws for 3 Tds on Sunday against them)

this game is very important. I know everyone is high on going to the playoffs ( and believe im hoping for it to) ,but you all do realize a win this sunday garuntees the fins a winning season. I still remember hoping wed win one game. A win sunday also means Sparano took a 1-15 and got them a winning record his rookie year. Once that happens i am beginning an email campaign to get Sparano coach of the year honors.

I like how you can predict 09 and 10 results without even knowin the opponents!

The great thing about right now is that we control our own destiny. We don't want to break that.

Unless Arizona benches its players because they already clinched the division, but if they try they will beat new england

I don't trust the Pats to lose one of their last two games. They may not have Brady, they may not be the team they were last year, but they're disciplined (fewest penalties in the league) and they know how to get the job done when they need to. Sure, Arizona might shred their defense, but I don't want to have to count on it.

You're right -- losing to SF wouldn't be a complete catastrophe. But it wouldn't be good at all.

but they're disciplined (fewest penalties in the league)

haha come on, we all know this is Goodel's team. No self-repecting referee would dare flag this team

I think it's still an important game, no matter how you look at it. We've lucked out with the Jets losing their past 2, but every game is important in this league.

Just my opinion.

Are you kidding? This game is VERY IMPORTANT. Miami needs to win out to control its own destiny. You never put your fate in others hands. On top of that it is a morale issue. To have any chance in the playoffs Miami needs to roll in. Not limp in doubting because they lost to the 49ers. Every game is a MUST WIN from this point forward.

NEVER take ANYTHING for granted.

Take every game as important. We control OUR destiny, and I don't want anyone or anything to take that away!

We need to win out for the sake of momentum. Who wants to face a team in the playoffs that won their final five games in a row?
