49ers lose Dorsey, trade opportunity?

Just throwing it out there as a topic for conversation but how about Chris Borland and LaMichael James for Jared Odrick

Uh I hope Chirs Borland is a great player because LaMicheal James has very little value. Probably about the equivalent of Daniel Thomas. Actually probably a bit less than DT. Odrick is the one DT I wouldn't trade anways. He's the cheapest, the youngest and is really turning into a pro bowl caliber DT, and he can play DE. I'd trade Starks maybe. But not for a rook and a throw in. Maybe for Vernon Davis!? I'd do that. Clay and Davis together? Maybe Clay out of the backfield as a HB and Davis the TE? Yikes. Too bad they'll never do that lol

LOL Probowler ??? He can't break into the starting lineup. He isn't a top 5 DT in the division, much less the conference. He won't be going to a probowl any time soon, or EVER for that matter, unless he buys tickets. SO overrated.

Whhhhhhhyyyyyy would you want to weaken the strength of this team for Lamicheal James..... this board sometimes.

Starks is the tradeable guy. 1 year deal and over 30. Not that I would but......

Odrick is a former #1 that we have groomed and although he hasn't made the Pro Bowl he is a very good player. He is set for his best season yet and is clearly ascending. No way would the team let him go because he's too valuable. I don't think they'd trade Shelby. These are the rotation guys and are vitally needed. Who is it you want from the 49ers?

we don't really have a trade with them unless we are giving up a better player than AJ francis who in reality is just another bottom roster player. He wasn't even able to make a depleted Patriots line last year

There's nothing wrong with discussing trades. That's a part of the game, certainly not as prevalent as in baseball but why not look at all possibilities to improve. I don't know who would be targeted on San Francisco, but they have a lot of depth everywhere.

I would give them Mitchell for Carlos Hyde. No way am trading Odrick.
That would be an interesting option. I really liked Hyde coming out of Ohio State. That said, with Hunter and James both injured I don't think SF is very strong depth-wise at running back. Gore is also on the tail end of his career. Interesting, though.

is this a joke? Makes me sick to my stomach thinking that a fellow phinatic would actually think this is a good idea!? LaMichael James is hurt, and Chris Borland is a un proven, undersized rookie?

Ahmad Brooks, and Carlos Hyde or Marcus Lattimore, for Odrick. We are very deep at DT with Francis, Anthony Johnson, and the kid from GA. One of those 3 could step in and be as good as Odrick. Probably better. We could throw in Wheeler and or Daniel Thomas. We could also given em Philbin in the deal, and move Lazor to HC :)

are you seriously saying fede is better then odrick? Like, what goes through your mind? Are you huffin' gas?

What a foolish post. You obviously don't know much about odrick if you think you can just plug in anyone and get an upgrade. None of the guys you mention have done anything in a regular season game. Odrick played well enougn the last 2 yrs to be considered for the pro bowl.
