4th & 4....why didn't we go for it?

I was pissed we didn't go for it on 4th & 4 in the beggining of the 4th Quarter. Our Defense was playing really good and we were already on Oakland's 38 yd line. Instead we opted to pooch punt.

sparano made a mistake and played it conservative. he was thinking we have a two score lead and oakland hasnt been able to move the ball on us. so lets pin them back

problem is THATS EXACTLY why we NEEDED TO GO FOR IT. we were up two scores and defense playing well. they arent going to have success in the red zone against us. PUT THE GAME AWAY. go for it

sparano needs to make this type of call part of his coaching philosophy. inside the opponents 40 yard line on 4th and short, this team should ALWAYS go for it...

I mean I was more upset at the handoff on 3rd down . . . that was real conservative . . . and based on that playcall, I knew we were either kicking the FG or punting.

I thought it was 4 down territory, but not with that 3rd down call. I was ok with the punt actually, it worked out well. U figure the d can hold them and get you the field position back. But I think Sparano has learned after this week NOT to take your foot off the gas when driving. Keep playing the game until u know u have it won. 4th quarter up 9 with 12 minutes does NOT mean u won the game . . and Tony made a mistake. He made up for it later.

For field position...? I don't particularly like this...

I always hate giving up the ball..., I don't care how well the Defense is playing..., I wouldn't have pooched in that situation... either..., at mid-field 4th and 4 yards I punt... 4th and 1..., I still like to dictate the game...

What I dont understand about that decision to punt is the Fins were on the Oak 34, why not go for a FG?

In preseason Carpenter was hitting them from 50 a good bit and being at home aswell I dont understand why you dont go for it, IF you elect not to have a go at the 1st down.
