Was just watching an interview with Daunte and a reporter asked him why they dont play with the same energy the whole game that they do in the fourth quarter. I thought it was a great question but Daunte's response disappointed me.

He said simply if they played the whole game like they do in the fourth quarter that they would be too tired and worn out when the fourth quarter came..I see Welker and Zach playing with full intensity for all 4 quarters of the game and yet Daunte and the rest can't? Where is the heart in a team that only gives it their all for 15 out of 60 minutes a game? If you aren't worn out and tired and dont have to reach down into the depths to gather your last ounce of strength to get the job done you aren't puttin your all into playing winning football.

This is the difference between us and other teams. I watch the Bears, Bills, Jets, Colts etc.. go out there and give it their all for the entire duration of their games these teams play with heart and even when they lose the fans still support them because they know they gave it their all.

Until the Dolphins start giving it their all for all 4 quarters of the game we wll continue to lose and the fans will continue to be disappointed because nothing is more disappointing than watching your team lose a game for no other reason than the fact that they were not giving it their all.

did he really say that? got a link?

Yes, if you have NFL network it's on the show that does all the QB interviews. I'm sure they will be replaying it.

If he really said that he should be cut tomorrow, hes pretty much saying hes holding back the first 3 quarters.

Well, he was talking about the whole team so we'd have to bench em all :sidelol:

It is pretty apparent what he's saying is true though when you watch the Houston game the only ones that really stood out to me were Welker, Zach and Will Allen the rest of the team looked lethargic compared to these guys.

I would like to see a reporter ask Saban about this in one of his press conferences though. He was just on 790 talking about Welker playing with all his heart and that that is what the rest of the team needs to be doing...would be interesting to hear his response.

Any Player Saban finds to be holding back should not be "benched" They should be CUT.

I don't believe that a starting qb would say that, there has to be a link somewhere of him saying that besides I think it would be on NFL.com or ESPN if he said that.

I dont believe he said it either, I'm just saying what should be done to any player who does.

I was looking on NFL.COM I think it was on Point After, not positive though. It was an interview of Culpepper sitting in the locker room earlier today. I am looking for it on the net right now. I don't remeber his exact words but that is pretty close to what he said. I will update if I can find it on the net somewhere.

What??

I just can not beleive this s**## , is this true?, i have been taking a lot of crap from my friends for this s**##. Somebody tomorrow tell me that this was mis-quoted. GO DOLPHINS?? :dolphins:

Ps go dolphins and play only the 4 quater? WHAT THE HELL???

Now your not sure what words he used, the little mixup that you probably made can make what he said a lot different.

Y'know, before I read that I just wanted a new starting QB, I didn't dislike Culpepper, because I knew his injury was holding him back. Reading that, just makes me flat out want to despise the guy. What an ignorant thing to say, let alone think.

If you find out what show it is BlueHaze be sure to let us know, i'd like to TiVo it.

I understand that, that is why I wish I could find it on the net somewhere so you all could see it for yourselves. I couldn't believe it myself when I heard it I was shocked.

I'm surprised noone else has seen the show today.

I agree - you know how they talk about body posture? The team looks completely slumped over sorta speak the first 3 quarters. They look like they are just going through their daily routines on the slow strut over to the huddle. Damn dissapointing to see. I don't like that response also by Daunte- it's not competitive in nature - which definitely bothers me. Ofcourse this excludes Welker and Thomas, and I would put Taylor in that category also. Let's just hope they WAKE UP THIS WEEK!!! The whole damn game!
