5 Moves That Put the Miami Dolphins Into Mediocrity

1. Jimmy Johnson
2. Dave Wannstedt
3. Nick Saban
4. Cam Cameron
5. Tony Sparano

Hiring Saban...Hiring Cam Cameron..

Hire Sparano instead of Rex..

It's not just hiring a few bad coaches,or a few bad drafts.
It's the end result of a couple of DECADES of not having a
a competent profootball organizational structure.
Remember in the early 70's ...we had Owner>President of Football>
GM>Head Coach (Don Shula) plus a vast collection of great football
minds.....We won Super Bowls during this era.
Then as time goes by,Don becomes more pwerfull and he eventually is the
head of all football things per the Dolphins.
As time goes by Don makes several bad decisions that hurts the team for
years. But he had Dan,that covered up alot of inferior talent on the field.
(P.S..see a elite QB..always gives you a chance)
Now once Don is forced out, wayne goes and gets Jimmy Johnson.
A name, but still the same structure,Jimmy is head of all football operations.
After Jimmy leaves, here comes Wanny...same deal...Wanny is head of all Dolphins
football(GOOD GOD MAN!!!! think about that for a second)
After Wanny fails, they tried to install alittle structure to help him...but when you add a idiot to another idiot, you get 4 and 12)
Now comes Nick Saban...again one man,one voice..no real balanced structure.
I won't say to much about Nick.....ROLLLL TIIDDE!!!
Now Nick leaves and in comes Cam...I dont remember the structure set up with Cam,but it smacks of desperation....add it up and you get 1-15.
It comes the TUNA...he promise a structure, but it's really the old one man one voice
thing disguised as a football structure with Bill's cronies (who are unqualified to be in their positions)set up to answer to him.
Now Bill leaves and where are we?
Thats about 20 years of the Dolphins not having a true football structure.
We are behind the times...It's not about a few choices...The WHOLE thing has to be
rebuilt to keep up with todays NFL.

We need stability, but we also need accountabilty as well...

This regime has picked players that have been cut too soon or should have never been picked at all

I think Nick could have been succesful if not for that Culpepper debactle.

When you give one guy ALL the power it smacks of deperation...and thats what is
going to happen after this year..and if that hire isn;t a homerun...we come be looking at another lost decade.

I would rather have the best GM in the business, than the best coach.
The best GM would KNOW to get a great coach,he would do what it takes to
get a elite QB and so on.
