50 Yard Bomb Video from Chad Pennington

At first I didn't think we should sign him. But then I realized McCown was the veteran of our QB corpse and I changed my mind. I'd rather have Penny-arm.

His deep throws remind me of shanked punts. But if people want to convince themselves that the same guy they made fun all these years is now something our eyes have shown us he isnt, so be it.
 
I love it, you guys bash him for years and not 5 mins after rumors of Chad potentially going to Miami his arm now isn't that bad:lol: Chad is a good QB when healthy and he'd be a big upgrade for you. I hope he doesn't go there so I can still root for him.

He's better than a known back up Josh McCown im not saying chads great or anything but i would much rather take him than McCown.

Dont generalize not eveyone bashes the opposing teams QB's and players. I happen to respect Chad much like i respected Fiedler, not many loved Fiedler but he was good and did things for us that other QB's that have been here havnt done sinse. Chad might just be the QB we need to help us manage the running game, he doesnt need to win huge games for us just manage them.

Even with his weak arm he's a better player than friggin Josh McCown. I have no idea why we signed that bum. Pennington with his Penny-arm is twice the player McCown ever was or will be. Course that's not saying much, but it is an upgrade for us.

I think both are pretty mediocre, but since we are already paying the one mediocre guy, and since we arent a playoff team, why pay another. Thats my point. Just because we have cap space doesnt mean we have to waste it.
 
Pennington over McCown I don't think so, but he'd make sense for us to sign him so he can be our redzone qb .

Upgrading any position on the team at any cost > your opinion on anything.

Well "you guys" doesn't include "this guy" chad when healthy is a very good qb. if anything the jets haven't done him any favors recently, and have done nohting to work within his talents.
