Quarterback (3)

Locks: Pennington, Henne, White

Runningback/Fullback (5)

Locks: Brown, Williams, Cobbs, Hilliard, Polite

Wide Receiver (6)

Locks: Ginn, Bess, Camarillo, Turner, Hartline,

Pick 2 from these fringe players: Chris Williams, Brandon London

I believe London will be cut/traded.

Tight-End (3)

Locks: Fasano

Pick 2 from these fringe players: Ernest Wilford, David Martin, John Nalbone, Joey Haynos

I believe Wilford will be kept and Nalbone could sneak through due to his draft position.

Offensive Line (9)

Locks: Long, Carey, Grove, Smiled, Thomas, Murphy, Berger

Pick 2 from these fringe players: Andrew Gardner, Nate Garner, Andy Alleman, Ikechuku Ndukwe

I believe the rookie Gardner will make it and Ike too due to his versatility only.

Defensive Line (7)

Locks: Langford, Starks, Fergeson, Merling, Soliai

Pick 2 from these fringe players: Lionel Dotson, Rodrique Wright, Tony McDaniel

I believe Wright is on his way out.

Linebackers (8)

Locks: Porter, Taylor, Roth, Crowder, Ayodele, Torbor, Wake

Pick 1 from these fringe players: Charlie Anderson, Quentin Moses, J.D. Folsom (not sure about Tearrius George or Erik Walden at this point).

Anderson will most likely be kept here.

Secondary (9)

Locks: Will Allen, Smith, Davis, Nate Jones, Bell, Wilson, Culver

Pick 2 from these fringe players: Eric Green, Jason Allen, Chris Clemons, Courtney Bryan.

Green is fighting with Allen here, while Clemons due to his draft position should sneak through.

Special Teams (3)

Locks: Carpenter, Fields, Denney

That leaves us with:

3 QB
5 RB/FB
6 WR
3 TE
9 OL
7 DL
8 LB
9 DB
3 ST

= 53

Moses over Anderson. Eric Green is history. Jason Allen will make it unless he falls apart. Clemons looked lost or very ordinary the few times i was watching him, expected for a rook safety. Great play by Bryan in the end zone. Too soon to tell about the safeties, tight ends & the hands of stone receivers. I think we need Williams speed there. Too many possession clones.

wow, I mean I just don't see us keeping 14 roster spots on RB/WR/TE . . . . that is alot . . . really those last few guys need to shine on special teams to make it.

How big is Hilliard? Can he play FB? Polite doesn't seem that great of a blocker . . . more of a short yardage guy which is why we like him . . . can Lexi be that guy? He is not a lock tho as u have him . . . and honestly Cobbs isn't either, tho he should make the team.
Nate Jones probably makes this team, but he is no lock.

Neither is Berger, i mean u can put McDaniel in the lock category before Berger.

Hartline is not a lock either, tho I also think he makes the team.

Some of the guys could go to the practice squad, thats 6-7 slots correct?

8 spots . . . reserved for rookies/UDFA's or guys with minimum game experience . . . but when a guy goes to the PS, any team can pretty much steal him when they want, which is how we lost Parmalee last year, but we gained London and Alleman and Culver.

Like a guy like JD Folsom would be a perfect practice squad candidate. Also Lou Ellis.

But a guy like Turner or Hartline, even Clemmons would be tuff. Hilliard could go back on the PS, but if he runs like he did last night the rest of this preseason, he more than likely will not make it.

looks about right to me...

i think jason allen will make the team. versatility is key. same for wilford. i believe green will be cut. probaly need another inside linebacker on there and im not sure hilliard will make it. we also may need an upgrade for a swing tackle.

IMHO you can put McDaniel as a lock...He looked very good and only appears to be a slight drop off from Landford and Starks.

Clemons is a lock...he is our future safety...Based on his draft position, there is nothing I have heard that would make me think he will not make it

Expect some roster changes and guys that are not currently on the roster to be on the roster like last year. Last night Griese and Moore said Ireland was putting Dolphin scouts at every game and especially looking at guys they had targeted in the lower rounds and at free agency who were picked up by someone else. I think linebacker, cd, OL, and any other position could be affected.

Hilliard is not a lock at all btu the Kid looked good last nite ,I see another
year on the PS until Ricky retire.

Wide Receiver (6)

Locks: Ginn, Bess, Camarillo, Turner, Hartline,

Pick 2 from these fringe players: Chris Williams, Brandon London
I agree here but London is a good STeam guy ,Chris will have to return
2 kick for a TD this pre-season ,bc we have a Guy in GINN who is just as talent of a return-man.

I believe London will be cut/traded.

Tight-End (3)

Locks: Fasano,Martin a lock

Pick 2 from these fringe players: Ernest Wilford, David Martin, John Nalbone, Joey Haynos

I believe Wilford will be kept and Nalbone could sneak through due to his draft position.I'm not buying it Wilford is still in great danger of being cut..

Offensive Line (9)

I believe the rookie Gardner will make it and Ike too due to his versatility only.

Moses vs Anderson and George vs Walden
I see us keeping 9 here /Folsom to PS

Anderson will most likely be kept here.

Secondary (9)

Locks: Will Allen, Smith, Davis, Nate Jones, Bell, Wilson, Culver

Pick 2 from these fringe players: Eric Green, Jason Allen, Chris Clemons, Courtney Bryan.

Green better step his game up or he'll be on his way out of the league ..

Keep in mind that one reason Tony Sparano said that he wanted to keep more linebackers this year is because of their abilities on special teams. Well, Lex Hilliard had two special teams tackles last night and so did Cameron Wake. If Hilliard can play STs really well then they don't need that 9th linebacker IMO.
