we were 6-10 and Houston was 6-10.. they beat us, so why do they pick ahead of us??

Strength of Schedule....they had a easier schedule, so they {with the easier schedule} shouldve been better than us, thus...them being a worse team then us, having the same record with a easier schedule....thus them getting a higher pick

SOS!

AGHHHGGHGHG!

*dies*

Ahhh someone call 911 !!!

sorry random :D

haha thats funny, but yes strength of schedule determines that. its too bad because we could have picked 7th, but in the long run we get the 39th pick i believe in the 2nd round which is the 7th pick in that round.

It goes by SOS but I do think that the team with the more difficult schedule should have the tiebreaker not the other way around.

it wouldnt make sense to give the team with the harder schedule a higher pick. the draft works so that the worst teams pick first. the team with the easier schedule and the same record is obviously worse. giving the team with the harder schedule the higher pick would contradict the purpose for the draft ordering. your position in the draft is not an award for how hard you tried or how well you did, it's compensation for how bad you are.

We have the same record as the Texans and managed to lose to them. What a ridiculous year.

2007 Draft order:
1. Raiders
2. Lions
3. Browns
4. Buccaneers
5. Cardinals
6. Redskins
7. Vikings
8. Texans
9. Dolphins

gotcha!! but the way to determine who's best is when 2 teams play head-to-head right?? we played.. they won.

the 3 teams with 6-10 rotate order in subsequent rounds.

Just another tidbit ... The draft order rotates by round in cases where teams are tied (record-wise). So, we have the 8th pick in the 2nd round, 7th in the third, 9th in the 4th, etc.
