I think our 6 game win streak was very decieving. we had a few good games but none were shut outs or victories wiht confident. they all came to the wire and we nevr dominated. the only positive i see is the momentum and confidnece we gained.

I think it is more important to finish a close game with a W than to win big. (although I would love to win big once)

Did the Patriots blow out every team during their Super Bowl years? I think not. A win is a win. The good teams find a way to win in the end of the game and not collapse. Coaching is a major factor, and like New England, we have a very good coach.

im not talking abotu NE. they nevre blew out any team compare NE to NENVER or COWBOYS and those SB teams adn they blew teams out also the niners. I am not talking SB calibur you are getting ahead of yourself right here. We barely beat teams we did not win with power. we didnt blow out anyone so dont say blow out evrey team thats putting words in my mouth. we came from behidn i think 2 times and barely beat out the titans and jets. i dont call that winning with power.

I compared them to the Pats because Saban shares the same philosophies as Belichick. I am not saying we are headed to the Super Bowl this year, I am just saying you don't need to dominate an entire game to be a good team. I remember quite a few Pats games(during their Super Bowl years) where they were behind and had to pull out the win in the final few minutes. Like I said earlier, a win is a win. The good teams with good coaches always find a way to win even if they don't dominate the entire game. If you put Wanny in as the coach during those final 6 games, and we probably would have won one or two games during that span. Saban gave us the edge over those other teams and even after just one NFL season, I believe Saban is right at the top of the league in coaching.

As long as the Dolphins win, I don't care if they win by 1 point or by 30 points.

i agree but i am saying it int eh sense that it is not a comforting 6 game win streak. I dont htink you got what i meant. the point was that it wasn't a win streak where we were doing really good to say oo look we have a good team coming in, it was a mediocre win streak taht can be quite decieving and make us look better then we are.

During that stretch we really only had one tough game (San Diego). I wish that NE would have kept there starters in to see how good we really where. It is better though to finish on a win streak to keep good momentum going to next season. And now that we have all these key acquistiions and probably anthor good draft with what we got, it's all gonna fall in place this season. 12-4

I agree.

Winning 6 straight in the NFL is always very impressive and commendable. But, we played mostly inferior competition.

We're not as good as we appeared at the end of last season.
We're not as bad as we appeared in the middle of last season.

I think we should all just be happy the team's improving and might make a playoff run this year.

How many years did our defense dominate only to get completely spanked or killed in the Playoffs?

How many years did our offense dominate only to not be able to stop the Bills from getting 1 more TD?

Ho wmany years or games did our defense dominate only to not be able to stop that 4th quarter drive to win the game?

Ina ll the years we dominated in one area we weren't able to close it out or finish the game.

To me this 6 game win streak was very impressive and very inspiring.

I in no way believe in the carry over factor. I don't care we won the last 6 that in no way IMO will help us THIS year.

However, what I saw was a team that was resiliant. When they had nothing to play for they gave 200%. It didn't matter that they were losing by 20 points they found a way to win. They found a way to close the game in the 4th. To make that game saving INT, that 4th down stop.

the game against the titans might as well have been a route... i was at the game and no one ever questioned the outcome of it

i think that it seemed that way b/c we are ALWAYS behind. we had more opportunities to come from behind and win it then having the lead and keeping it. that says a lot. we always found a way to coem back into the game and tha twas always in teh 3rd quarter. we nevre played solid 60 min games.

I think what we saw was a rise in consistency of our play.A good coaching staff will do that for a team.It will only improve from here on out.

The Defense seemed to find a way to give the opponents an early lead which put us in a hole out of the gate but think about what you are saying we had to come from behind to win. We did what we had to, that means the offense made the plays they had to and the defense steped up when it counted the most. Look at the Ravens when they one the SB not a very domanant team and since free agency it's been that way every year(wonder why so many different teams are making it further in the playoffs). It looks like you are waiting on perfection and that is not going to come out of a league that is looking for balance. Just be glad for the 6 wins and the two big wins against Denver and Carolina, thats 4 playoff teams we beat last year and several of our losses were to non playoff teams, we can correct that and I think the coaching staff did a great job of showing leadership in November, December and January where our past few coaching staffs have lost the team. Accentuate the positive brother we have much to look forward to.

We won 6 in a row with Gus at QB. Now we have DC, a more experianced Ronnie Brown and an o-line that has new and better talent. No matter how we won the games we won them and got the W and that's what matters, not how we won or the score we won by.
