60 sec. search wait

When I search I have to wait 60 sec when I want to search again.
I know its the same for everyone but what is the point of that?

Does seem kind of odd, unless there is some point to that Im not thinking of. When I search, if I type something incorrectly, or dont get the results I want and want to change my search I have to wait a whole 60 secs! Who has that kind of time?

Searching the boards can be somewhat server intensive and thus could be abused. We're looking into it though.

That makes sense. Guess it shows how well this site is ran when this is the crap we have to complain about :D

Yeah, I am not a big fan of the 60 second wait period either. Lets cut it to 30 seconds. :wink:

Yeah, I always noticed the 60 second wait... a bit of an inconvience, but I get by it and try to be patient. :goof:

Starting a new thread on the other hand... After some of the days we go through here at FinHeaven, sometimes I wish there was a 5 minute wait per person at making a new thread.
