Throwing a ball 70 yards is very rare not many QBs in the history of the NFL could throw more than 70 yards. Throwing for 70 yards is not a QB throwing for 50 then a WR taking it in 20. Im literally talking a QB throwing a 70 yard pass. I remember that show NFL QB club? Those competitions? Well Marino was really one of the only QBs who could throw the ball past the 70 yard flag. I think warren moon could. Most QBs balls would die anywhere between like 50-65. Brett favre was known for being able to throw 70 yards with ease. I heard jamarcus russell could too. But rarely do u hear a QB being able to throw the ball much farther than 70 yards. Well Ryan Tannehill threw a 68 yard laser while being DRILLED and the ball was thrown perfectly it landed right in wallace's hands. That is not an easy throw its an elite throw a very rare throw go watch it on your nfl mobile app u will realize how amazing of a throw it was. Tannehills foot is on the 33 yard line the ball lands on the 1 yard line tannehill gets blasted how he makes that throw idk.

that could have been one of the greatest finishes in NFL history...unfortunately for us it didn't connect. still a very impressive throw

I mentioned this earlier this morning and most people are disregarding this. In fact, many people called this a bad throw, lol. I was absolutely stunned that the ball reach the goal line when he threw it from that distance. I didn't even think a hail mary was possible from where they were at on the field...

Tanny can make that throw because he has a noodle arm like Pennington.

At least that's what I heard on FH today... lol.

Seriously, RT has a great arm and makes some impressive throws.

And -- a huge plus: He's surviving a debacle start for a rookie. Most rookies wilt when thrown into the fire like this -- with 1. A sad OL. 2. No playmakers at TE and RB. 3. A roster full of possession WRs (w. one exception). RT isn't wilting. Which means his psyche is intact in spite of the abuse.

Most rookies -- especially ones who didn't start much in college -- are sitting for the better part of two or three years while the team puts pieces in place for the QB to succeed.

Not this team. Tannehill gets thrown to the wolves and he's not ruined yet. Big plus.

How about his throw on the next play? Oh yeah, he ran around for ten seconds to finally cower in defeat.

Oh come on, he was trying to buy some time to see if anyone came open... You can criticize a lot of plays Tannehill made that day, but that is absolutely not one of them...

True, it is hard to criticize but was the capper on a second half debacle. This play made me all the more angry. Why not a ten yard out to stop the clock and set up a 40 yard last play?

Imagine Beck surviving this ordeal or Feidler making that throw.

I'm all tannehill but the fact that you said that and the OP reminded me of something

I think its more like 66 yards though

and while we're on classic dolphin QB plays, this is my favorite

An even better throw would have been one to the twenty five yards of the field that Wallace had wide open where he wouldn't have had to change direction and no defender could have impacted the play.

I just wish that last throw was a tad more accurate. A little more to the left that way Wallace didn't have to dance back to his right to make the catch. It was still a damn impressive throw. Tough catch . I thought Wallace had it for a second. All Tannehill needs to work on is that deep throw with Wallace. Don't be afraid to over throw him a little. Another beautiful throw he made was to Miller.

I saw Michael Vick his rookie year against Miami throw a ball on the run across his body 70 yards. A lot of QB's have hand cannons now a days. I still want Tannehill to work on his accuracy down field. Wallace should have 8 TD's this year.

That was an amazing throw, and the fact he knew he would get killed after letting it go, and circumventing the pain, until he looked and saw it was incomplete, I swear, T-Hill is by far the toughest QB in the league, the hit he takes and keep on getting back up is simply amazing to me.

dude...google it. youtube it. do whatever you gotta do to get your facts right. there are PLENTY of QBs that can throw the ball 70+ yards both current and former.
