Most encouraging tweets so far - Misi staying with Clay in coverage, overall offense looking sharper, OV beating Albert.

Clay's a tough match up for LB's; he changes direction very well for a guy that size. We've already heard that Misi is aggressive in his run fits. If he can just play above average in coverage, it's a huge win for the D.

Tannehill is a smart QB, but he hasn't reached the point where he's playing football on instincts on a consistent basis. It's a very rare skill to find a player who can process the information required for the QB position and play instinctual football. The earlier this offense can have some success, the more Tannehill can focus his energy on trusting his reads and playing with instincts. Delayed success would mean more time analyzing what isn't working. I'm hoping to see the offense play well in a couple of preseason games. Normally, I wouldn't care, and it will be difficult given the transition, I think it's important for Tannehill and the offense to feel like it's headed in the right direction heading into Week 1.

I've seen enough Branden Albert to feel comfortable that, when healthy, he's a very good LT. Vernon improved a lot from year 1 to year 2, but he wasn't a consistent pass rusher. It's great to hear that Vernon is giving Albert all he wants. It'll make them both better, and it's a promising sign that Vernon will take the next step in 2014. I should note that I don't expect him to improve his sack total, but it'd be great for him to improve his QB pressure rate.

I know it is only day 2, but seems like Matthews is starting to get passed by others. Might be trade bait at the end of camp.

Agreed.

Yeah there's 0 need for him to be returning anything except INTs.

Agreed as well X 10

I know I will come back and kick myself for saying this…but I think in the end the OT's are fine, Colledge will be okay at LG. Smith will be adequate at C….I am only really worried about Thomas.

One guy can screw it up obviously, but I would love to see a veteran next to James and the neophyte C.

I don't know what dog house he got himself into with the team...but I'm not sure he will get out. I was hoping he would make a big step this year and press for a starting role. At this point, I'm not sure he makes the team.

OV beats Albert again! It'd be great if he could match his sack production from last year.

OV is going to have a ten to twelve year career ahead of him. I loved the pick a few years ago and still do today.

You don't get 18 to 1 red zone td to int numbers if you don't have instincts for the position...red zone everything's faster

Don't get why this team won't give billy turner some right tackle reps...we can't keep a right tackle only as the 3rd tackle...

I'd much rather have the qb hold the ball too long than force it into coverage although it would be nice to see him just throw it away...still in 7 on 7 I don't much expect the qb to

Looks like The offense had a much better day in general.

eh. 2nd day.

mathews safe because....

1. Armon Binns needs to stay healthy
2. Hartline needs to come back from injury
3. Brandon Gibson needs to stay healthy

I dont think this regime is stupid enough to get rid of a guy who knows the system when health questions remain. This league is about next man up.

I hope they are smart enough not to choose Damian Williams over Rishard Mathews...binns also although he'd be the last guy I'd consider along with hazel for the 53...I know Williams is a waste of time

Our draft pick lb so far no where to be found in the 2 deep...kinda surprises me but he's very raw...

2 te sets clay and sims...no brainer

Ov may be taking it to another level...if dj can show well as a rusher when he comes back cam wake May be trade bait in the offseason...but ovs gonna have to really become consistent on a game to game basis

Michael Egnew is really the No. 2 TE now. The Dolphins are really applying the pressure to this 2012 third-round pick. Pop or get off pot

Dion Sims & Arthur Lynch are the in-line blocking tight ends. Charles Clay & Harold Hoskins are the H-backs. That makes Michael Egnew what?

Anyone else notice that Omar has ADD?

Like Cam Wake said yesterday, real camp starts tomorrow. First day with pads on.

The pads go on Sunday, and that’s the day that defensive end Cameron Wake really has been anticipating.

“This is like an appetizer the first day,” Wake said. “The real excitement is the day we put the pads on, especially for us big guys. That’s when the real football is played. This is kind of like the warmup to the main course on Sunday, but this is always good fun to get going, but I’m looking for those snaps.”
