7/30 Afternoon Practice

Closed to the public doesn't necessarily mean the journalists aren't allowed in. Volin says he'll be updating his blog.

But, they aren't allowed to talk about specific plays anymore. That probably has to do with the plays they ran where they did a WR reverse option pass, and then did another play with a WR screen option pass, etc. The journalists described those plays in detail and that kind of ruins the element of surprise.

yeah, i was wondering if the paper guys should be relaying trick plays info on the blogs.

guess i know now. not much of a surprise if it's common knowledge.

nice to hear beck had a decent practice this morning.

Seems like all three QB's played well today. Derek Hagan coming out strong again from that evening report, damn. That guy may very well take the #1 spot for the first game of the preseason. Hope he keeps performing well and perhaps becoming a legitimate starter.

Derek Hagan is still looking good. Terry Robiskie really must've pissed him off with his comments. Chad Henne looks good too.

Unfortunately, all three QBs have a tendency to hold onto the ball too long.

Looks like the offense is starting to slowly get the hang of things.

I'm wondering if the two-minute drill gave the offense a little bit of an edge on the defense. Offenses can get to the line and know what they're going to do on the next play. Defenses have to make a call and don't really have time to make adjustments at the line of scrimmage. I'm happy to see that Beck and Henne got a few completions this afternoon. Hopefully today will serve as a little confidence booster for both of them.

Yep, nothing but reps against actual pressure is going to develop that clock in their head. Nice to see Beck and Henne lead a scoring drive and Henne with a big TD pass! Keep it up fellas!!!!!!!!!!!
