Is there anything worse than 7-9? As far as I'm concerned it's the worst possible record to end up with in the NFL and we are primed to end up with that record for almost the 4th straight year (with 6-10 being the outlier, lol)

The thing is, even at 7-9 Ross won't can Philbin because "he respects him too much." And if he goes 7-9 again next year, he will probably stay in again because he will have the built in excuse of having a new GM.

Mark my words, 3 years from now Philbin will be our new Ireland - a frustrating case of football herpes...

Well Philbin may be a problem in the future, but Ireland is well past his expiration date. 7-9 certainly won't be tragic this year since it would surely mean that Ireland is out the door (well that's what it would mean if we had a competent owner in any case).

Right, but that's what makes it worse. Ross will take a half measure and we may end up with an awful cycle of offsetting GM/HC hires. That is just a dumb way to build an organization, but that is what it appears Ross is destined to do... This team needs a clean slate!

Fair or not, Philbin has a stain of Ireland, who had a stain of Parcells and Sparano, and now that stain will be transferred to the new GM. No fan will have patience with the new GM because of that association and we may get mired in an unending 7-9 pattern of futility.

I think you'll get your wish at 7-9. 9-7 will be enough for playoffs and they'll all get another year. IMO 8-8 is the record that will make things interesting for Ross

I will be honest, I will laugh my *** off if we finish 7-9 for the 4th straight year.

A 7-9 playoff team would be abysmal around FinHeaven. Dolphins would have a losing record yet the fan boys would gloat about how we made the playoffs and we're a good team lol.

Yep, just like the year we started 0-7 and they were saying the team "could have make the playoffs with just a few breaks"...they simply are too blind to see reality...

Mediocrity forever!

They will talk about momentum into next year....

LOL

The fact that this team is again headed for 7-9 should not be a surprise. Miami still does not score enough points to win consistently. The funny thing is they got rid of ground and pound Sparano for high octane Philbin. And the fins still score about the same points per game.

No TDs in 4th qtr last seven games people. Their margin for error is too small.

Tragic??? 7-9 is like a old lover slipping into your bed on a cold winter night. She holds you, kisses you, tells you how much she misses and loves you, and sends you off to sleep with promises of a morning filled with excitement. Then the sun wakes you up, the bed is empty just like your living room and you realize all your crap is gone.
