These are some reason's why i see this team being successful next year

1. Acquisition of Trent Green.-green may be old, but he is a game manager who knows where and when to throw the ball and he can read defenses fairly well. His presence will have an affect on John Beck the moment he comes in to play. He is a game manager who i believe will show success in this system.

2. Joey Porter.- Adding skilled pass rusher and long time playmaker Joey porter will add even more firepower to this already high powered defense. Him opposite Jason Taylor will provide a lethal combination in which teams can't stack up a certain side to prevent a stronger side from prevailing. This will probably lead to more sacks for guys in the middle because of the focus on Taylor and Porter on the outside.

3. Ted Ginn.-Although only a rookie, he will make an immediate impact on returns, maybe even at wide receiver if given the opportunity. If speed kills, and if Teddy has alot of speed, then Ted kills :cooldude:

4. Cam/Randy.- This combination has brought a positive attitude to the team with their many personnel movies, intelligent tactics, and just plain brilliance. This is a killer combination and lets hope the relationship continues to prosper.

5. Many new faces on the O-line.- This o-line is no stranger to criticism, but this new group of guys combined with the guys already on the team could be one of the better lines we have had. Shelton will probably be more fit for RT since his speed is kind of an issue and Carey who is up for any challenge, will try his luck at the left side. We are stacking up on versatile lineman who can play multiple positions.

6. Schlesinger.- All i can say is this guy is the ideal fullback in a Cam style offense.

7. BB, booker and brown.- Brown having the power, and booker having the speed and versatility this could be an above average combo. on 3rd downs booker brings alot of speed, which kills :cooldude:

be sure to add, praise, or criticize my comments it is all fair game

go fins!

i agree with you 100%, we have a team that can def win now and i think we will surprise many with how our new additions will pan out. trent's the type of qb that can help us win now and help bring about the future with serving as an ideal model for jon beck. joey also contributes to a defense that was ranked 4th overall last season and helps solidify the case that we have one of the best lb cores if not the best in the nfl. ginn and lorenzo i believe will also make immediate impacts and be x-factor type of players that will have the ability to help change the momentum of the game.

Yes, I think we'll probably make it to the superbowl with Trent next year.

i agree also but i feel like many other people around here is that we need more o-line help; i do think it already looks better than last year.

Great post. I thik if we can set our linemen early and just leave them alone to gell by the start of the season they should be an average line. They can hopefully improve on this as the season goes along to become above average. The addition of Schlesinger is huge this will hopefully mean that brown will now be making his first move after or at the line instead of behind it.

I agree, and I love the Bermuda Triangle signature.

I agree but feel that the superbowl is kind of a stretch. Remember that MUCH of this positive stuff is new and will take getting used to also, we are in the Pats division which, like them or hate them, you have to admit they are a hell of a team and will make things a little harder.

When was the last time Miami didn't have a shot at the playoffs or Super Bowl?

Because every offseason it's the same thing. And yet this team hasn't been to the playoffs since 2001, hasn't won a divisional playoff game since 1992, and hasn't won an AFC title since Reagan's first term.

I hope Trent only plays 69.9 percent of the snaps and gives the reigns to Beck.Hes not worth a 4th round pick

my brother said the same thing, he said why overhype its the same thing every season

I like the post. Always good to stay positive. Personaly, I think the biggest factor is adding Joey P to the already great defense we have. It's going to help out our young secondary. I can't wait to see Joey P talk smack and back it up against our AFC East rivals. It's going to be great to watch!! Hopefully Ted Ginn can make an impact in the return game. Special teams is important. Look at what Devin Hester did last year with chicago. He basically won at least two games for the Bears.

It will be an interesting and exciting season. With all the hype last year about what Satan was going to do and the fans being let down, it is very easy to be pessimistic. I really feel that it will be a different story this year though. Cam seems to be doing all the right things. I can't wait for it to start!!!
