72 Dolphins and the 21 Dolphins: If win out and win the Super bowl... ?

If win out and win the Super Bowl would this top the undefeated team of 1972 accomplishment?
I think it would considering how low the team has fallen, the Watson fiasco, and considering the superior opposition, we would have to beat to win it all.
I like to know what you guys think?

Putting yourself in a hole doesn't make climbing out more impressive.

We had an easy schedule for the most part and the odds did not start against us.

If we win a SB ill be thrilled, but not coming out strong doesn't make it extra impressive.

Hey I’m as up for this as the next fan but I can’t even contemplate this happening. Not without a run game or good o-line. Just don’t see it.

In that impossible scenario I wouldn’t deem it more impressive than 1972 because as you know no one has gone undefeated since.

Even if this team miraculously got to the postseason, they'd lose the playoff game. We haven't won one of those since Lamar Smith in 2000.

The 1972 Dolphins were undefeated. So the Dolphins winning the SB this year would be a great accomplishment considering they already have 7 losses. Yet there is no way a 7 loss team could be compared to the 1972 Dolphins, even if they did go on and win the SB.

I’ll play along. Yes, it would be more impressive. Those early 70s Dolphins teams were stacked with Hall of Famers and near Hall of Famers. And they had a Hall of Fame coach. If this team wins out, wins three playoff games, and the Super Bowl, with a decidedly not HOF roster or coach (lol), then it would be one of the most impressive accomplishments ever in football (hell, in sports). Of course, that’s also why it’s not happening.

For the record, I do not believe we will go undefeated from here on, but the Dolphins always seem to do what you do not expect. Lose games they should not lose. Win games they were not predicted to win.
However, Flores is not Shula and I doubt we got more than two potential Hall of Famers on this team so it may be a bigger accomplishment than you think. No team has ever started 1-7 and won the Superbowl.

Don’t you know by now this team is going nowhere this season?
7 loses is not something we can overcome. Even if we win the rest, we ain’t going to the playoffs. No way. 7 loses is the reason. Besides NE and Buff will probably fight for the division and we will watch on TV.
I used to think we could overcome most anything, but I am a realist. It ain’t happening!
The worst part about this whole deal is NE. It looks like they will be thorn in our side just like they were during the Brady years.

Until New England starts beating good teams do not drink the Kool-Aid. Look and their wins and losses this year. Even we beat them with the worst coaching staff in years.
They have loss to almost every good team they have played this year. Get pressure on Mac Jones and he folds. Tua is actually playing better than him this year when under pressure.
