I just watched the Colts-Bengals game and have come to one resounding conclusion...The Colts will not be stopped. The only way you can possibly beat them is by putting massive pressure on Manning with only 4 Defensive Linemen...And noone can do that except maybe the Bears...and the Bears will not be there in the Superbowl. You can't blitz Manning because he's just too damn sharp and will pick you apart...ala Marino in his prime. Their defense can be scored on as shown by the Bengals...But the Colts D will still hold the opposition to less points than Manning and the boys will put up. The only way they lose is in a game where the elements dictate what you can do. If it's snowing like hell or windy as hell like in Chicago last week. And they're not likely to see any bad weather...

Remaining Schedule
Pittsburgh-They will stomp the Steelers at home...The Steelers simply cannot hang with them next week. Maybe if it were in a few weeks with a healthy Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh but Ben will be rusty even if he plays and it's in Indy.
Tennessee-Another home game...Titans are toast.
AT Jacksonville-This is one of three remaining games where they will have to play at there best to win...and they will. The weather will be fine and Manning simply will not be denied. The Jags barely beat the lowly Titans this week and there is no way they outscore the Colts.
San Diego
-Another home game...The Chargers do have some offensive firepower but they will not have enough to beat the Colts at home. The Bengals have plenty of firepower too and they couldn't outscore them in Cincinnati. It comes down to stopping Manning, and the Chargers will not do it on the road.
AT Seattle-The last chance...If it's raining like it was in the days of Noah then I like the Seahawks chances at home, but if it's decent weather...Manning will out-gun Hasselbeck easily.
Arizona-No contest.

And for those who say that Manning will sit out in the last two games if they have home field advantage sewn up...You're dreaming...Manning and the Colts will go for the undefeated season...They know how big the accomplishment is and they know what it means.

Hats off to the 72 Phins...It's been a great 33 years of champagne and caviar but there is company on the way...in the form of a guy named Peyton Manning.

You think they will continue playing starters with HFA wrapped up? I doubt it..

I think the Steelers are going to win next week. It will be a statement to the Bengals that the Steelers are still the class of the North. I believe this is precisely why they brought Ben back slowly instead of rushing him -- they wanted him to be ready to win this game.

If Big Ben plays Pittsburgh has a chance this week because I think they'll play ball control and try to limit how many times the Colts offense is on the field. San Diego looked very good today and I think they will beat the Colts.

unless Manning gets hurt.. this team is unstoppable... thank god they left our division.

their defense played like shiit tonight. if clevelands defense would have stepted it up, indy would have lost

Cleveland's defense played great today allowing the Dolphins 0 points.

Cincy's defense on the other hand needs some work, they are too inexperienced.

The Colts have played two reasonably strong teams this season, and struggled to win both games (against Jacksonville, and against Cincinnati). They struggled to win against Cleveland, who is not a very good team. They were getting whipped by the Rams (17-0) when Bulger left injured and the offense started producing turnovers left and right.

Entering this week, the Colts had the weakest first ten games of any team in the NFL, and going forward they have the toughest schedule. Of the remaining six games, four are difficult - Pittsburgh (with Roethlisberger), San Diego (see that game today?), Seattle, and Jacksonville. The other two - Tennessee and Arizona - are by no means pushovers. Did you by chance watch them play today?

Well, if the Colts do it, there's one thing they can never take away from us.....we did it first.

ridiculously premature... they have many tests in front of them, and they're one Edge twisted knee or Peyton jammed finger away from it all coming down on them... don't forget... they have nine more wins to go for it to be an undefeated season.... long, long LONG way to go... so please.... can it...

That's what I'm hoping. I really didn't have much faith in the Bengals today due to a lack of a physical presence. Pittsburgh will hit the damn Colts and I don't concede anything in that game. The only problem is Pittsburgh's loss today means they probably can't earn the home field even with a win next week, since Indy would have to lose at least twice more. But top teams coming off a loss tend to play terrific on the road so that will be Pittsburgh next week.

CK made an excellent pick in the Handicapping thread, taking the over 47 in Indy/Cincy. I'm hardly an over bettor but even I found that one. Maybe the two best QBs in the league in a big game and hardly an outrageous total.

I started a little money line rollover parlay today on the Colts. The money line of -2.30 was very reasonable. Now I'll take the total return and put it on the Colts to win again next week, and so on. So if the damn Colts go unbeaten at least I'll profit and if they lose all I'm out is today's initial investment. But this is one of the times I root fanaticism over dollars. Go Steelers!

Any Given Sunday...Still too many games remaining to say they will go undefeated plus they always begin to rest their starters at the end of the season.
