With only 79 days left until KO and the new NFL season can anyone tell me any or all Dolphin players to wear the number 79? :thanks:

Well I have these here:

Really dragging the barrel would be Mike Mohring an Undrafted rookie signee who never actually made it with the Fins but ended up with SDG for 5 seasons from 97 - 2001

Or

Ronald Flemons who was on our practice squad in 2004 after being drafted 226th overall in 2001 by Atlanta but ended up being signed by the Toronto Argonauts in 2006 and then the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2008

Or

John Denney - Long Snapper for the Fins beating Ed Perry for the job in the '05 season and was/is the only undrafted FA for the Fins to appear in every game, even recording 5 tackles on ST that year

Or

Anthony Alabi - remember him? Drafted by Satan (saban) 162nd in the draft of '05 it was through him that the chiefs ended up with Surtain. .Alabi fought with Roth and they had to be seperated, he was injury prone as I recall and ended up being released in Feruary 2008(?)

Or Kenny Mixon, Larry Webster, Billy Milner

Are you sure John Denny wore #79? I thought he wore #97 as a rookie before changing his number to #92 that he currently wears.

John Denney was an undrafted rookie in Sept 2005 and wore #79 as a DE for a small while, however by Dec of the same year Anthony Alabi went from #67 to #79 and Denney went to LS at #97 before finally changing out to #92 as now Merling is in #97 :whew!:

According to NFL.com, Denny went from #79 in the preseason to #97 for the regular season opener against Denver. Thus, Denny never wore #79 in a regular season game for the Dolphins.
