Two interesting returns in #Dolphins practice today: RB Kenyan Drake and CB Chimdi Chekwa are participating.

CB battle heats up w/Howard & Chekwa active even if both limited for now. Lippett/McCain get competition.

Chekwa and Drake are doing rehab on the side right now. We'll see if they do anything other than warm up today.

DeVante Parker with a beautiful catch in the corner of the end zone from Ryan Tannehill at Miami Dolphins practice

Good for Drake. Back on the field. Although he would be hard pressed to beat out Pead for 3rd RB

Only because he was drafted do I say they may strongly consider it. But imo it would be a mistake given what we've seen in Pead so far and the injury history that Drake seems to be building upon.

I had such high hopes for Drake when we drafted him. It's a shame we haven't been able to see what he can do. Pead has earned a spot.

Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron has been catching passes from a staffer for at least 10 minutes while the rest of the offense is resting

Cuts are going to be tough. I'm inclined Drake makes it due to draft status which means I can see keeping an extra RB. OTOH, I can say that about WR. And DT. If Pead plays well vs. ATL, makes tough choices even tougher.

Because Pead is Mr. Durable by comparison?

drake is safe regardless of depth chart. i'd be surprised if we didn't also keep foster, ajayi, damien williams and pead. daniel thomas may be the odd man out, although he has played well enough to make the team.

You're "inclined" ? :) Drake is 100% making this team. There should be no questioning that. I do believe we will keep 4 RB's. #3 and #4 will need to play ST as well. Looks like Thomas is the odd man out again.

they'll carry drake

I don't think they carry 2 players that can't pass protect or run inside the tackles...although I do think pead might give you a little more than drake between them it won't be enough

be my guess

I think we only keep 4 RBs, 5 would be overkill. Damien Williams won't make it

I would go Ajayi, Foster, Pead, Thomas, and Drake.

Damien Williams is a useless runner and has low football IQ.

I've seen a number of reports Williams is an ST ace. Can anyone else take his place and make him expendable?

Yeah, inclined. I HATE absolutes. (I will say, though, that's a STRONG inclination)

if they carry Damien Williams it will be about pass pro...in this offense it matters a lot...single back you better protect

that's why I think in the end he makes it
