It had to be a bittersweet moment when Spencer Paysinger learned he's quite possibly going to be taking Jelani Jenkins' spot in the regular-season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 11 because Jenkins is recovering from knee surgery.

"Yeah, I mean, J.J. is one of my closets friends. He's my closest friend on the team," Paysinger said Monday. "So when he went down, we were all bummed. But he told me, 'If you get to go in, you're more than capable.'

"I'm not sure how the rotation is going to go -- some of us will be in nickel, some will be in base -- but the coaches are doing a great job of preparing us from the ones all the way down to the threes that you can go in and probably do a good job."

If Jenkins cannot regain his strength following minor knee surgery, it will indeed be Paysinger playing the weakside linebacker spot. Perhaps he plays on passing downs and Neville Hewitt plays early downs. Perhaps it is the other way around.

Maybe Paysinger gets all the snaps.

Watching Cameron Wake take ribbing from his fellow D-linemen. They been getting on him today.

Watching pass rushing specialist Jim Washburn go over the wide-9 splits with a TE in motion. Very intricate stuff.

Its either Williams or Pead. They might pick Pead since Drake is healthy they can deal with resting Pead for a little bit

I still believe Williams makes it because of his blocking abilities

For you fantasy folks.... Don't draft DeVante Parker early. He is the third WR in Miami's offense now.
 
Love that Gase is tightening all the loose lips. I've always felt waaaay too much info gets out.

DeVante Parker just beat Byron Maxwell for a red zone touchdown pass from Tannehill. Beautiful route,but WR coach Shawn Jefferson got on him
 
I don't like that blurb by Kelly about Parker.

Hope it's just injury related and he's working his way back into the consistent rotation.

The way he played last year makes it weird that him and Tannehill aren't clicking, but if I remember correctly wasn't he balling before his hammy injury early in TC?

Then just like that he scores a touchdown :lol:

Tannehill just brought together the first-string offense, gave words of encouragement.
