Since Parcells, Sparano and Ireland took over this team, that was 0-6 in division games in 2007, they have gone 8-4 against division opponents the past two years. Even fans like WV has to admit that is VERY impressive and shows just how good this regime really is.

They are 2-2 against the Patriots, 3-1 against the Jets and 3-1 against the Bills. Everyone knows that the most important games a team plays during the course of the year are the ones against division foes. We used to have a pretty bad division record during the Cameron, Wannstedt and Saban years. Parcells and Sparano has changed that culture and now they are winning the most important games the team can play.

8-4 against the division. Wow.

I like it. You know what will be even better? 8-4 against the division and two straight playoff appearances. Or 8-4 and two straight division titles. At least we can dream for another week.

 Fans like me? What is that supposed to mean?

Seriously, I am impressed with that record in the division. Nothing is more satisfying that beating the Jets, Bills, and Patriots. Nothing pisses me off more than losing to the Jets, Bills, and Patriots.

However, I am impressed with the TEAM accomplishing this, not Tony Sparano. Tony Sparano is a complete moron who has cost us 3 games this season and is the biggest reason we arent in first place right now.

This is a quality football team with underrated players and piss poor coaching.

What I meant is fans like you who seem to want to fire the coaching staff. The team did accomplish this, but who put this team together? Who coached them? Parcells and Sparano are responsible for this and this turnaround. They were 1-15 in 2007, and 0-6 in the division. How could you not give credit to Parcells and Sparano for this turnaround? You complain that he "cost us three games", but this team couldn't even win three games before they came aboard.

So in one sentence you say the Team accomplished the wins, and Tony Sparano had nothing to do with it. And in the very next sentence you say Tony Sparano is completely responsible for the losses....

So you want your cake and eat it as well.

Great point.....dont forget Sparano and company are 5-0 in December games......

I'd like to hear how Sparano lost 3 games by decisions he made please

We have been through this before.

Game 1) The Colts game. 3rd and 6 with just over 4 minutes remaining...tie game. The phins have controlled the ball for a helluva long time, havent punted, havent turned it over. At the time of this decision, Pennington only has like 3 incomplete passes. Pennington who is notorious for completing 3rd and medium/shorts his whole career and sustaining clutch drives, has already completed 3 such passes on this drive for first downs. The Colts have shown zero ability to pressure Pennington on the drive because they are completely gassed.

So what should you do??? :ponder: Common sense says complete a pass for a first down, continue the drive and either score the TD that everyone knows we must get to keep Manning from beating us, or kick a FG with no time left.

What does Henning call and Morono APPROVE? You got it.......a run. We gain a couple yards and kick a FG that everyone in America knows just got us beat. Only Tony Morono is fired up about it on the sideline.

Then Manning is kind enough not to take the entire 4 minutes left to score his TD that everyone knew he would(they scored on us the whole game in no time flat). So he scores it in under a minute:lol:, leaving us a nice 3 minutes left to go down and match it to win.

Now this shouldnt be a problem because again, we havent punted or turned the ball over the whole game. So what does Tony Morono do???? Run on 1st and 2nd downs and let the clock go all the way to the 2 minute warning before we so much as move the ball anywhere. By the time we get to midfield the clock is almost gone. Thanks Tony.

In a game where a team DOES NOT PUNT, DOES NOT TURN THE BALL OVER, and holds it for 45 minutes, how the hell do you lose? You score on every possession. That means youre kicking too many FGs. We actually forced 2 punts on the colts. We kicked FGs because Morono loves em. 3rd and 6 in that spot, throw the ****ing ball. Its almost a guarenteed first down the way that game was going.

Game 2) The Saints game. Phins up 24-3 and dominating. You know the Saints arent going away. So the last thing you want to do is breathe life into them. They complete a pass to the 1 yard line with just a couple seconds left and the clock will start when the official signals it ready for play. The saints have ZERO TIMEOUTS and no ability to stop the clock. They rush their FG team out. Even if the FG is successful, the phins are still up 18 points......THREE POSSESSIONS. A FG is a win for the phins in that spot. It dosent give the Saints any life. However, a TD would.

So what does Morono do???? Calls timeout for the saints. Unreal. The saints wisely decide to score the gift TD and get within 2 possessions. In saints terms, thats 2 big plays. They make big plays a lot. You want to keep them 3 big plays away from taking the lead. Instead Sparano gives them all the momentum they needed, and Ginn takes it from there. Phins lose. Tony Morono strikes again.

Game 3) Buffalo last week. Ricky is 5 carries for 32 yards. Opening drive. Toronto is showing no signs of stopping the run. Its gashing them on every play. 1st and goal at the 3. What would anyone with common sense do.................:ponder: run Ricky maybe?

What does Henning call and Morono approve? Thats right.....a halfback pass. Great call. Ball is intercepted. The halftime score couldve easily been 24-7 with that play and no drive killing calls like the Ginn reverse on the other drive.

At 24-7 it changes the game completely. Toronto is never in position to stay in the game and is forced to be in more passing situation which Cam Wake showed he would destroy the Bills shaky OL.

The phins wouldve rolled to a very similar victory as in the first meeting between these two teams had they gotten a multiple score lead and put pressure on the OL to pass block. All they had to do was score that opening TD, and continue to gash Toronto up front, handing it to Ricky. Instead, Morono strikes again. Phins lose.

There ya go.

And this leaves out many other questionable decisions Tony Morono has made throughout the season that fortunately the players have been able to overcome and win despite his utter stupidity. Like the 2 point conversion try against the Jets.

^ sensibility. Is it in you?
What does that mean?

I'd blame the coordinators more than TS any day. The only thing I question is the FG late in the Colts game and the TO when the Saints were about to kick a FG.

It was said before, but I'll say it again since it is such a great point... Tony Sparano is the reason we lose games, but not the reason we win games?

Thats some awful logic right there.

He's the reason why we went 1-15 to 11-5. He's the reason why we are the 8th seed in the AFC and control our destiny after starting 0-3.

WV... we could have won those games, your correct. but its not Tony's fault we lost those games.

Game 1, it was the defense
Game 2, it was the defense
Game 3, it was the bad play calling. Henning not Tony.

The simple fact for games 1 and 2 is we were prepared (game plan) which is the head coaches most important roll. we couldnt have competed with the only two undefeted teams in the NFL if he wasnt a good coach.

I would be up for a change but it would be something like Dan Henning and Pat White out and maybe an extra gateraid cooler in.

We dont control our own destiny yet. but we might after next week. we still need Baltimore to lose an AFC game. or NE to lose any game.
