The seasons's notes thus far:

-Kiko is having his best year with the phins.

-Devon Godchaux and Akeem Spence > Suh

- Reakwon McMillan is looking like hot garbage at the moment but maybe he is playing a difficult position and needs time to adjust since he is a rookie and coming off of an injury.

-Our defense overall looks legit. Takeaways are what good teams are known for and we are producing them.

-Our offensive line looks much improved even without Sitton.

-Our running backs are above average. Kenyan Drake is a top 10 RB, Gore is a great back up and complimentary back to Drake's speed, and Ballage hasn't even made his debut.

-Our WR core is the best I have ever seen it. Our first 5 guys are TD threats.

-Mike Gesicki seems to be invisible out there. They have targeted AJ Derby as much with more results. (Still have hope that his rapport with Tanny will grow.)

-Stills is our #1, even if Parker is in the game, Stills' overall game is much better than Parker's and the rest of our core. Having Amendola and Wilson has made this unit the deepest I have ever seen. Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady with this receiving core would be scary.

-Our offensive line and Ryan Tannehill are our biggest liability on offense, if it's not false starts, it's a fumbled snap, it's a fumble from Tanny shleppling around like un sapingo.

-The team hasnt been playing the best on offense but our defense keeps us in games.

-The awful play calling that was rampant in the offeason seems to have become righted once in the regular season like Gase predicted would happen since he said he wasn't calling regular plays.

-This team doesn't need Devante Parker to win, but if he comes back and truly plays like a #1 and can be better than Stills, they could be a real threat to take the AFC East.

Stills is definitely not our #1 if Parker is in the game.

overall, I think this is a pretty fair assessment. DL and secondary certainly have been our biggest strengths.

I don't know if i'd go as far as to call Tannehill a liability, but there is certainly a lot of room for improvement. if he can clean up his pocket presence issues (fumbles, ugly sacks), he could move from game manager to a great qb, but as its year 7, who knows how much development is left within him. He did have issues with his long ball but managed to work that out, so we'll see if Gase can break those habits.

Agree in general, but your negatives are too strong. McMillan is average or a little below - not "hot garbage," I think play-calling has been weak

It's questionable what our biggest liability is.

Preseason, I thought interior D line or LB. Now, I'm still not sold on our LBers, but they haven't collapsed. Experience can only make the young guys better.

Making Parker the #1 automatically when he returns would be a good way to start a fight in the locker room lol. I could imagine all the insults that would be lobbed at Parker.

Parker was our #1 the minute Landry left.

The two things that hold me back on seeing this team as a playoff contender are how our defense performs against good quarterbacks and our offense needs sustained drives to consistently get in the endzone. Hopefully we can be dangerous enough in our run and short passing game where we can get deep throw looks and hit on them.
