9/17 Practice Updates

[AL R]

Rookie guard Billy Turner is practicing for the second straight day during media portion of practice.

LB Koa Misi and DE Terrence Fede are not participating in the portion of practice open to the media.

TE Charles Clay is participating in the portion of practice open to the media.

Pro Bowl C Mike Pouncey is practicing for the second straight day. This is his first action in full pads, too.


Also does not look like Shelley Smith is working either.

Philbin said the coaches have spent more time on the "route & timing" of passes this week hoping to improve Ryan Tannehill's accuracy.

HC Joe Philbin said CB Will Davis has room for improvement and played better in Week 1 than Week 2.

Tannehill: I haven't been putting the ball in the right spot. I haven't been at my best. It has to change and change fast.

QB Ryan Tannehill says he's frustrated with himself. But he plans to get it corrected.

Tannehill on if he hears what fans are saying:, I have Twitter but I never look at it. I'm just hearing doing my job trying to get better.

Tannehill on PFF ranking him No. 2 QB: That's not accurate. I haven't played up to my standards.

I am really interested to see if pouncy is activated this week. Misi too.

Nice. We also got Jordan Tripp back. Did he practice? He'll be a big help on special teams. That's the same special teams that really hurt us against Buffalo.

Not having Misi back yet is a problem. But it looks like Jamall Charles may not play. That will help to counteract this.

I'm very concerned about Dallas Thomas starting at right guard. He was awful in the preseason. Don't think Billy Turner will take his place. Not enough practice time.

Reid keeps saying he is questionable.

Not seen any reports on McCain so I'm guessing he's practicing. I wonder if Tripp is getting any run at MLB to backup Trusnik just in case Trusnik stinks it up. The combination of Jenkins, Trusnik and Wheeler is upsetting...very upsetting.

I hope Turner is ready to play because I don't expect Dallas Thomas to last long before he gets pulled for being awful.

We are not getting alot of detail because of limited media access but agree that Misi probably needs another week and Tuner may get a little playing time. The Pouncey decision is the most intriguing, my first thought was there is no way he plays this week, probably won't but there is an outside chance I guess that he just might.
