9/30 Practice Updates

I'm hoping this is where Charles Clay gets incorporated into the game plan. Hopefully Lazor hasn't shown all of his cards and can get this guy involved.

In the meantime I hope he is on the bike as well. His knee seems like it isn't right. let him heal up too.

I would like to see Matthews more involved too. Wouldn't mind some deep shots to Matthews or Landry. They can actually go up and get the ball...

Jones has two weeks, basically, to get in condition and play. He's going to need to run his but off to be ready for Green Bay.

Any word on McCain ? I had high hopes for this guy after the first game but since then he was injured and then had a personal thing with a death in the family.
Even with Misi back I want to see more of him and Tripp even if it's mainly on special teams.

Just realized no mention of Moreno. Wonder what his status is?

Clay hasn't been making the most of his targets. That several big dropped passes, and that pass to the back of the endzone that clanged off Clay's hands -- he showed poor timing and very little physicality. Many TEs would have bodied out the DB and easily made that catch. It's a catch that NFL TEs make, imo.

Clay's not a playmaker, imo. IMO. He's serviceable, but doesn't put great pressure on Ds down the middle.

Joe Philbin on why Chris McCain didn't play weeks 2-3: "It just wasn't that kind of game."

Chris McCain's kind of game: a blocked punt, a sack, and a win.

Not Chris McCain's kind of game: 0-2.

Is seems like mum has been the word on his injury, no one wants to say anything publicly- including Moreno.

No need to let your opponents know what you are planning. Especially in the off week. I would guess even the first week he plays he is still listed as questionable on the injury report.

Well 1-2 because he didn't make the trip to London due to a personal issue (death in the family is what's been said around here).

Somebody said he tweeted his grandfather died. I guess despite playing McCain and several other rookies, undrafted or otherwise in game one, the myth that Philbin is too rigid with respect to who gets playing time lives on.

There are still questions about when Knowshon Moreno and Randy Starks will return from elbow and back issues, respectively. Neither practiced Tuesday but the Dolphins remain hopeful Moreno can return at some point this month --- if not for Green Bay, then potentially Chicago. And the running game is thriving without him.

I guess no one cares about when Dion Jordan will eventually come back. Ireland is the worst. Thank God he's gone.
He can add good depth in 2 weeks time. Hopefully he has learned from his stint in rehab and is eager to contribute.
Shelby is playing well. With Wake and Vernon established starters and Fede developing, we have plenty of talented DEs.
The extended suspension to Jordan could help to fire him up. It will be interesting to see how he plays when he returns.

 Landry go up and get the ball?? He has the worst vertical of any WR on the team, probably worse than any of our DL. Landry might be an ok WR at some point but he will never be a good jumper. When he jumps he's happy if his feet clear the ground.
I've never liked this pick and I still don't see what everyone is so excited about with him.

Dion is going to have a hard time getting on the field even when he's back.
If it was an injury i would feel for the guy but since it was self inflicted twice i could care less.
Shelby , Fede and hopefully McCain should get the snaps. Dion should have to work his way back into the lineup.
