I'm still high from this game. But I think we win out and finish 9-7. Unfortunatley, I think NE clicnches before week 17 by beating the Jets. Whether they rest up or not, I still think we can win that game. This isn't the JJ-Wanny "can't win Dec-on the road-in the snow" fins anymore. Now if we win our final six, are we then "that team" everybody talks about in the offseason who finishes up strong and predicted to do damage the next year (ie bengals, cowboys etc.)?
Also, is Lovi (Spell?) smith a lock for coach of the year, or does saban have a shot if we win out. Smith imay be the favorite, but the fact that tis is Nick's first NFL head coaching job should count big time. I guess there's Dungy too, but like duh that team can't win anyway...

Anyway, I think NE knows they're very lucky Mia dropped some easy wins this year, or ther'd be another team going to the playoffs instead of them.

I think saban should get serious consideration for it

It took lovie smith 2 years

it took saban 1

Dungy of the Colts will get it.....especially if they go 16-0.

Tough question. Saban should at least get "Coach of the Second Half of the Season."

Yeah but other coaches have much more talent to work with and have made the change over a few seasons

Saban has had 1 year, and a 4-12 team returning from last season

I think Dungy is a lock if they win out. If that dosnt happen than I think Saban is a legit candidate.

If the Colts go undefeated then Dungy has to get it but if the Colts lose a game then he loses his nomination. I mean, the Colts were supposed to be the best this year. It would have to take an undefeated season for Dungy to get the award.
As for Saban, I would love to see it but there are too many canidates ahead of him. Lovie Smith, Marvin Lewis, Mike Holmgren and Mike Tice are probably favorites ahead of Saban.

I think Saban got too much publicity for it to be him this year. In fact, I think a strong finish by the Browns makes Romeo a stronger candidate than Saban is no matter what the Dolphins do to finish out the year. Dungy is an obvious choice unless he makes the wrong call on sitting guys (which, of course, means he has to strike the perfect balance that lets them win and not lose anybody important to injury). I don't think Tony is capable of doing that, so I don't think he'll get it. Holmgren will probably get at least some consideration as will Lovie. I highly doubt the league will let Tice be a candidate due to the discipline problems that surround the Vikes.

My best projection is that it's Lovie unless the Bears fold and don't make the playoffs. If that happens, I think it may be Romeo.

I dont think so. There are too many teams that turned it around from last year and are going to the playoffs. Lovie Smith, Marvin Lewis....Tony Dungy is undefeated. Saban is doing a good job, but I think the COY has to go to the playoffs....If we go to the playoffs/win the division...he's a candidate.

Mike Tice is an awful coach, its just Culpepper is that bad. Everyone picked the Viks to go to the finals this year before the season started. They had a bunch of signings and a good team. They are just simply beating bad teams that they should beat. Its just Culpepper was losing the games for them before by turning the ball over at least 3 times each game.

Normal year I would say yes he is a COY the candidate (Saban). But with the Colts I think Dungy has that locked down already, they are just the medias darling.

Thats nice, but if the Colts go undefeated Dungy will get it. Not even a question. Coaches revive poor teams all the time, but how many have gone 16-0 during the regular season? 0
