As much as I love Cam as a player, I think HOF talk is a little ridiculous. He is good enough to be in the HOF, but being on a team that is mediocre and a lot of times below average will make it exceedingly difficult to get the votes. Unless the team makes a dramatic turnaround, it's performance will be the main reason he will not get the recognition he deserves.

You mean like Calvin Johnson?

I think you are comparing apples to oranges. WRs fill the stat sheet every week and make the headlines in every Sunday edition of the paper. Johnson made the TV news and every pregame show of every week that he was in the NFL, mostly because he was the main topic of conversation in Detroit. Cam wake is not afforded that same coverage. Cam wake is sitting at 92 sacks for his career. The guy that is 20th on the all-time list for sacks in the NFL is Simeon Rice at 122. I do not think Rice will be going to the HOF. Since sacks are what gets Wake the most recognition in the media, I think he has an up hill battle to get in the HOF. The HOF is voted on by the idiots in the media and not by ex-players and former coaches, so you have to get by the bias of those morons, which seems heavily influenced from a Northeast perspective. - i.e. New York, New England.
