Today, we look at guard Isaac Asiata.

I hope he does make it. You can't have enough OL depth.

I thought we got a steal when we grabbed him in the fifth, but I'm not holding my breath on him making any significant improvement.

I am with you. I was really excited when we picked him up in the draft, but I am thinking more and more he may not be in the mix. Time to step up or get flushed down the drain.

You've got alot of leeway when it comes to late rounders... nothing wrong with grabbing guys who do something specific exceptionnal even if other parts of their game are very raw... They cost nothing and seldom warrant a big 2nd contract. They basically redshirted him in 2017 and now its up to him to get himself into a spot on the roster...

Isaac Asiata is the biggest guy on the Dolphins roster (he's 345 lbs) - ie 27 lbs heavier than Tunsil.
He needs to show up well in Training Camp after being red shirted last season. My understanding is that he needed to build up his lower body strength to stand firm against the D-linemen and that was his goal from last year. We should know pretty quickly if he can compete or not. If DT's like Jordan Phillips and Godchaux can bowl him over, he won't last long.

I’m with both of you. Thought he would be a steal of sorts, hopefully he’s shed some weight, is a bit more agile and has improved his technique. We know he was strong already. I’m not sure but he may be ps eligible still? No harm in keeping him around to develop unless something much better comes along.

I see 9 locks, or near locks for the fringe guys, Asiata being the 10th guy fighting for a spot

Tunsi, Sitton, Kilgore, Davis, James, Larsen, Young, Smith, Brendel
