940 The Sports Animal - Jay Mariotti is a complete a$$!!

This guy is currently filling in for Jay Mohr (who is awesome by the way!!) and is complete destroying the Fins locker room. He is taking half the story and making Martin out to be a complete victim and calling the entire locker room a 'bunch of idiots'. He is using the transcript from the vm and other early tidbits that were released as gospel and not saying anything about what has come to light over the last 24 hours.

This guy needs to be called out on the air but I can't even tune in long enough for someone to do so.
 
Well look what he just did? He got you upset wanting to call in. His antics stir emotions...get people riled up wanting to tune in whether they're for or against Martin. That's what he gets paid to do. Presenting both sides of the argument is irrelevant in sports talk radio, irrelevant in sports "journalism" and defeats the purpose of trying to increase listeners.

Consider Skip Bayless. Does he make any coherent statements? Is there anything that comes our of his mouth that's even remotely accurate or truthful? Does he say anything of value? The answer to all those questions is no. But he's employed by ESPN because he gets people riled up and talking about the show he was on. I only watch ESPN if there is a game on...I don't watch highlights, I don't watch their people analyze games or pregame shows or any of that. None of it is informative, none of it enhances the game experience...but it sure does help the pop culture crowd...that's not me.

Word...except I got so pissed I just shut it off! I had to...I'm at work and can't be heard yelling at my computer when I am supposed to be working :chuckle:
 
Huh. Guess he found himself a new job. This is the first I've heard of him since his incident.
 
i was listening to him on iheart radio up here in MN and i had to turn him off... what a duche
