Heard it just now on fox sports radio. Jay Glazer reported that, even though there is no contract in place, they are going to make him the first pick of the '05 draft.

Great! If so, I cash my first ever offshore draft wager. I bet Aaron Rodgers would NOT be the first pick, and at +1.65 odds. That's the equivalent of betting a 3 1/2 point underdog to win straight up.

I need to credit the finheaven member who posted the odds the other day, from Pinnacle offshore sportsbook. Sorry I don't remember who it was. That's where I bet it, Pinnacle. I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

I read somewhere Rodgers was #1 in 49ers heart until they saw the interest in Smith. And the prediction was once no one trades with 49ers, they will go back to Rodgers as he is the local favorite.. Be careful!

that's what most of us on here think. that said....there's always the possibility the 49ers started to re-evaluate our "perceived decision" to take Rodgers (they never actually said it did they) and decided that maybe Smith is the better QB as quite a few teams like Smith a lot more then Rodgers. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

San Fran aint gunna take a chance on Smith.He is asking for alot of money.The money he is asking for is out of range for a rookie.They take Rodgers

I hope they do- because I think there are more suitors for Braylon (as far as trading up goes) then for Alex.
