One of the unmentioned benefits to the Fins is that Ginn will be much more signable than Quinn was. And the main reason is because he didn't think he was really the best or second best QB in the draft. So in that regards it is definately a plus.

I also have to say I too was shocked concerning passing on Quinn but now after the first days draft is all said and done I have to say I am loving it.

I don't think it was dooms day like some people here believe, I agree it may work out to our benifit. Player wise and money wise.

I'm not happy about the Brady Quinn, but as many draft before, this will be the workforce for our fins and we have to wait and see.

Slow and Steady

So far we've stocked the offensive side of the ball. I hope we continue this relentless assault on this offensive side which has been horrible and unreliable since Danny boy retired. I'm glad we got Ginn, he alone will get Chambers to play up to par because they grew up together. They'll work out and compete at a higher level just based on each others presence. Chambers lobbied hard for his boy to come play with him.
As well as the intangables Ginn will bring along with him. He's gonna play that Reggie Bush role with us. I like getting a straight slinger in Beck, he's gonna know where to go with the ball, and get it there. I really hope against hope that this is a sign that C Pep is getting healthier, and more moble. Think of the possiblilties if Culpepper is moble again. Think about that with who we got today, before day 2 of the draft. I think we need to address TE after losing McMichael, but that can be done on day two. I think we need to get younger on the Defensive line, and if Jason Allen is moving back to CB, we need to address another young Safety.
We had the #4 ranked defense, we've added Joey Porter to that. We may not be making the hyped up, media circus moves, but we are improving greatly, getting quality AND quantity, and will be in position to get better by trading some of the excess, and or by simply standing pat. Great job Randy and Cam. Slow and steady wins the race. Sit down and enjoy it!!! We've just gotten alot better.
