Just did this really quick just to show my annoyance with Jason Taylor as of late. Yeah this is an old joke to be referencing and it may come across as quite lame. However with the way JT has been treating the new regime publicly along with his glorious maneuvers upon the dance floor I can't get this image out of my head. Perhaps there are better characters to relate him to, but come on.

Basically, I'm really, really bored.

Can we just focus on football, please!

I understand your frustration. This "Jason Taylor Saga" is getting old. In fact, it's like you said: Annoying. I think Jason could've done Dancing With The Stars after his career in football was over. That opportunity would've been there for him. However, he decided to do it this year, whatever its' his call, not mine nor anybody else's.

I would like too see Jason Taylor get traded, and hopefully that will happen as we mover closer towards this year's NFL Draft.

It goes both ways. I havent really seen a welcome wagon rolled out for him. One comment or two saying they want him other than that it is silence

I hope JT remains a Miami Dolphin and has his best season ever!

:woot:....and he continues to be a Dolphin and retires as a Dolphin just as Marino did. He doesn't need to be at the facility in Miami training 7hrs a day.... He's training in CA and will be back at the complex when the show is over. I think its great he is taking advantage of this opportunity....and who knows if it would be presented to him after his career. I doubt he or anyone else ever would have thought a 3rd pick out of Akron would ever be on a show like Dancing with the Stars. It seems natural that to have a retired NFL guy like E. Smith win it...why not have an active NFL guy on there?!

What's with all the hatin on Jason. So what, he's doing a t.v. show in the off season. Get over it. If he can be traded for something of value, then I say go for it, but you people that are in such a hurry to dump him seem to be forgetting that he is still a premier player in this league and probably still has a lot of gas in the tank. You guys need to relax a little about the dancing. Its really not that big a deal.

So, devils advocate again :D Let's say during this little show he goes and tears his ACL which is very possible. How is this any different then what Ricky did

Ricky chose to take pot
Jason chose to go on this show and dance, which is strain on the body

If he hurts himself, how many on here will be willing to say he turned his back on his teammates?

How many rebuilding processes has he been through now? I would be frustrated and taking time away also to clear my head. All he is thinking is here we go again. He is an amazing player and is prob not thinking he is going to be on a team where he will never get to the big show and he is losing faith at the moment. Him being away will let him clear his thoughts and probably be a good thing for him in the end.

U may be right about that.

But this is his first true rebuilding process if I am not mistaken. Maybe u could say his rookie year but, even that, wasn't really rebuilding.

what if he trips on a parking curb and breaks his anle, or what if he is wrestling with his brother in McDonalds and acidentally puts his arm through a piece of glass, or what if he goes to the beach and steps on a piece of glass in the sand and his foot gets a nasty infection and he needs to spend next season on crutches. What if he leaves his house and slips on some south florida ice in his driveway and ends up with a dislocated hip, a broken shoulder, and a concussion with amnesia and completely forgets how to play football. I bet his teammates would be furious with him for even thinking about leaving his house and putting himself in any kind of danger. The man has been a loyal superstar for this team, and he is being treated by some on this board like a has been and a trader. Cut the guy some slack, at least he,s not riding around town on his motorcycle with no helmet.

My point is there are worse things he could be doing this off-season besides a little ballroom dancing. I think he's earned the right to enjoy his time away from football.

It's odd how willing Sparano seemed to be to defend JT then during the coach's meeting, especially since his stance seemed to be that JT was a veteran who knew what he needed to do to get ready for the season and as long as he did it, Sparano didn't have any problem with his offseason activities.

However walking in a parking lot you are not directly putting yourself in a position to hurt yourself.

Your analogies are flawed. He is willingly putting himself in an environment where he could easily get hurt.

I am not saying the guy doesn't deserve free time. The man can do what he wants. But he could care less about the team right now, and if he gets hurt during the process, he will have abandoned his team also

Or he might run into Redmond Charles Burns....
