What do you guys think about just having numbers on our jerseys without the names? I think it would be cool.
 
idk if id like that, and idk if its allowed by NFL regulations. too much like college i think

idk if it is allowed either I know they allow it in pro baseball. I just thought it would be a nice clean classic look and show a sense of unity.
 
I think that from a marketing department its a terrible idea. They want to sell Jerseys and the names area big point of that.

Not to mention announcers who don't know everyone on the team would have a lot of problems calling the games.
 
no name jersey's suck, I think that it also helps the referees spot illegal formations and other illegal stuff I think.
 
i like the unity point but yea, the nfl makes too much money off of selling jerseys and getting rid of the names would be a poor idea. I like the classic look, but id rather keep the names along with the classic jerseys myself
 
I like the names too. I don't know what every player in the NFL's number is (I don't even know half of the Miami roster's) to identify him so the names are good for me.
 
This is kinda related, my Hawkeyes basketball team never had their names on their jerseys while Alford was the coach and I never thought I liked it, but now that the new coach has put the names back on I really liked it better the other way.
 
The whole "unity" deal is a bunch of bull. If they the can't play as a team by this point in their lives then taking the names off the back of their jerseys isn't going to help them. That works in high school...Not a good idea for Pros.
