A change for FinHeaven? All Premium Members... Opinions NEEDED!

To clarify....

Blue - Everyone
Orange - Midtier
Aqua - Premium Member

This has been done because many people tell me that aqua is a more "prestigious" color (thank you Matt).

Some more revisions:

Both the Aqua and Orange levels shall be visible. However, nobody will be able to view the contents of those forums. In discussing this with Matt and a few others, these colors complement each other for the Dolphins... and it would just kinda seem wierd having one and not the other.

Let me know what you think...

man, it just amazes me the work you put into this site, and the fact that you are up at 3:53 in the morning still working on this? Wow.

Personally I kinda like orange as being the top tier, but I understand the aqua, (primary color of the uniform) Can't wait to see the better discussion in the new forum.
 
Ok -

We won't be naming the "main" Miami Dolphins forum the "Miami Dolphins Talk - Blue Level" that just sound dumb. I really don't know when blue will be used... but that's just for reference I guess... or until George has a better idea. :D

Aqua is also the color of the jacket players get from the Dolphins when they get on the Ring of Honor...

So, if there's a user that's not in the orange or aqua level... but wins a contest or something, their award will be used. It may sound somewhat complex... but it's now ;)

Aj, can you see that big area by the finheaven logo at the top? (the area to the right that has nothing there...) is there a way you could use that area for some type of badge signifying what level the user is at? I though a medal or something would suffice, kinda like our personal badges.

I kinda like the idea of a marino bust at the top right hand corner for premium members...

I agree with this. Like I said before, the colors represent levels of depth. Blue is the ocean floor. More organisms down there. Aqua is getting closer to the surface. Orange is above water and in the sunlight. Not many fish up there.

At least that's how my little brain keeps it straight. :tongue: Plus, we already named the new group "Aqua". :lol:
 
I should be home at a reasonable our this evening (crazy work schedule today). Soon as I'm home, we'll jump on this and roll it out!!
 
Both directions this can go in is good. Corresponding the colors to the depths of the ocean makes sense because of Dolphins, our Slogan, and... yea.

Or, we can go off the basis saying that Aqua is a more prestigious color.

The one benefit of Orange is that it's used less on the site right now. So, if there's an orange "Premium Membership" badge it will make that user stand out more. Whereas the Aqua ones blend in more.

I really don't care which way it goes in because either way sounds like a plan.

I like Orange better as a Premium designation; it is more distinctive and less common than either aqua or blue. It is an accent color, as this forum is an accent on the best Dolphins' site on the web.
 
a man moves houses has no access to the internet and BAM you'all add a new forum! I love it! I think it will bring more revenue to the site and help maintain its up keep. bandwidth / server parts / ect are not cheap. I like the new levels and ideas for them. If you need more mods for them let me know im all for helping out how I can.
 
I support the Orange for President movement. Orange never gets enough love.

That is all.
 
Orange represents energy. So it seems fitting for Premium Members since we exude the most brain power imo. :D
