A change for FinHeaven? All Premium Members... Opinions NEEDED!

I support the 3rd party candidate GOLD, SILVER, BRONZE. A whole hell of a lot less confusing! LOL

One thing I thought about.

I was thinking of how many members this site has, and how much more revenue this would make if you made the pricing affordable to all of them.

For me 30 bucks is not a lot, but this site has a whole heck of a lot of real young people that might balk at the ammount.

Lets say 100 people sign up at 30 bucks a pop. That's 3,000 bucks. Now what if the price was 10 bucks? It would surely generate more interest to join. If 1000 people joined that would be 10,000 bucks, and very afordable to a heck of a lot of people. Starting out as low as possible might be the best way to go, because if the demand grows, so can the price...........

OK, I'll stop thinking now.

What I'm thinking about is the naming system. I really love the Orange, Aqua, Blue thing.

But I gotta admit that once I sat back and looked at it, it would be pretty confusing to the membership. I mean, why try and re-invent the wheel?? Instead of turning the whole system on it's head, why not just keep with the theme and use the new colors as accents to it??

A.J. and I started thinking. Since this forum will sit right below the Miami Dolphins forum, "Miami Dolphins - VIP" sounded like a good name. And sine we already have "FinHeaven Elite" as a user title.....and Premium Member is two words, "FinHeaven VIP" sounded like a good name for the new users.

But we still like the color system. So we're going to use it. :)

As you may have noticed, your user names are different colors. Usernames will now correspond to your level of membership.

Orange - Premium Member
Aqua - VIP
Blue - regular Joe

Also, in the Visitors List bit at the bottom of the Forums Home, the usernames will also correspond to the color system. :)

We're hard at work right now. Let us know what you think!! :)

I like it. It makes the usernames stand out. I like that we're orange because it should stand out more than Aqua since it's brighter.

Damn. :eek2:

You've really got something there. But I think that part of the reason for keeping it somewhat higher is to keep those very kids out. They'll be less likely to pay $30 or $24 than $10 for the priviledge of being kicked out for starting Feeley-Frerotte threads.

I do see what your saying but the bottom line is the site paying for itself, and then some. Some of the extra income could be used for the advertising deals, which would increase the chance for more revenues. Which would surely increase a demand for Finheaven merchandise.

Why you ask? Because we already have a site that keeps the kids out. Here we are.

Dang, I should have been in sales!! Oh.......... I am.

true, one request, for our names in orange, can we get some tracework around the letters to sharpen them a little? Maybe trace it in gold or something?

Maybe a darker orange?

I was thinking Gold, and then the second level could be framed in silver, and finally the third tier could be framed in bronze?

Ignore the face and anything blue, but I am referring to the "talkgraphics" part, notice the gold outline with orange interior.

Starting at $24 a year is fine. Plus it always gives you room to INCREASE to say $30, $35...so on and so forth once and if you decide to add more features for VIP/PREMIUM members. Like some of those other ideas we have been talking about.

I think also when you add to the fact that you can still get banned and not get a refund it will make people think 2x before paying $24 just to troll the VIP section.

Also dunno if this has been discussed or not, but what if someone is a VIP member and then for being a douche is banned is he allowed to pay another $24.00 to come back to VIP ?
