Like most of you, I thought it odd that Marty's boy just dropped out. Adding to this was the Chargers sluggish offense last Sunday and LT overreacting about the Pats Celebration.

LT stated how he liked Cameron and wanted him to stay & add that to the playcalling. I think Cam was already gone and mailing it in.

So, Cam Becomes the Dolphins HC. What about Brian S?

Marty kept his job out west but refused an extension. I bet Brian goes out west as Chargers OC-Assisstant HC i.e Marty's heir.

The question that remains; What happens to the jest? Truthfully, Do we really care?

Brian is under contract for the New York Jets! He can only leave for a HC job, which I'm sure he feels he's not ready for. reports say that Marty hates dealing with the front office in SD, to the point that they don't even speak. Do you really think he would bring his son into that?

Actually Brian can take another OC position if the Assistant Head Coach tag is added to it.

Brian is under contract to the Jets. Unless he gets a head coaching job, he is staying put unless he first negotiates some sort of buyout with the Jets like Heimerdinger did. He can't leave of his own accord for an OC job (in the NFL). He can't leave of his own accord for an AHC job (in the NFL). The Jets control his rights. That's it.

Even if he could, it's just mind blowing that some don't get the situation in San Diego. The whole reason Brian left was to get out from under it.

heard on espn radio that brian pulled out bc he didnt want to move his family again after one year...

it would make sense tho for cam to blow that game to become our HC

If I thought there was the slightest chance that Cameron threw a game to be able to interview for this job, I'd want him blackballed from ever coaching again. We don't need that sort of unethical behavior in the league, much less in Miami. Fortunately for him, I don't think that's even close to being a possibility.

Kind of like favre taking a dive to give Strahan the sack record, it's BS, Strahans record should not count, it blows the integrity of the game.

I think to boot Shott Jr just received a raise - as much as I hate the Jets it's entirely possible that the dude likes it up there and is excited about what they are building. I hope I'm wrong and it pains me to say it but between Mangini's first year, and a very good draft last year, they have a decent foundation.

Brian might just be picky and want to wait on a better situation than Miami. He might also really like the limelight and think that he can inherit a Giants team complete with Eli Manning if he waits another year. He wouldn't even have to move the kids.

With the ridiculous speculation earlier this week that Brian pulled his name from consideration from the Miami job so as not to compete with his father for the opening, I thought your "conspiracy" was about something else.

The timing of Brian's announcement did seem odd.

But, perhaps Brian took his name out of consideration for his former coach Cam Cameron, who was a candidate. Not his father who still had, and still has, a HC job.

Perhaps speculation that Cam might leave SD saved Marty's job, because you don't replace an entire coaching staff of a 14-2 team. Cam might be the obvious choice to take over for Marty, but rumors insisted that it would be Wade Phillips instead.

Cam did not throw the game though, that is silly. Giving the ball to LT 8 times in the 2nd half with a lead was stupidity, not conspiracy.

The Jet's get thier ***** kicked by the Phins next year, thats what!

P.S. Bailey said he admired Schotty Jr's integrity for admitting he wasn't ready and withdrawing from the job. No conspiracy!
