I agree w you. He’s a playmaker / ball hawk and can be an eraser.
Dude is leading the league in int this year and since dec of 2017 is leading the league in int as well I believe.

Oh yeah he had a torn acl for some of that time period.

Interceptions ain't everything but it helps change momentum of the game

Honest question, has any WR ever had a monster game while X is in shadow coverage? I can't think of one off the top of my head

Edit:. I do mean in shadow. I know WRs have had good games against the Fins but has it ever happened when he was responsible for that WR

I don’t know. Great question. I remember being floored w how easily he erased Josh Gordon in the Pats game last year (we lost) - he made it look easy.

I didn't see the game last year, but the Thurs Night game vs Houston with X on Hopkins- didn't he have a rough time in that game?
I honestly don't remember because I didn't see the game, but I thought I remembered reading that.

Hopkins has less than 50 yards and one legit pass interference call against X while he mirrored him the entire game. A top 3 WR was basically a non factor.

X did have a tough game last year against Hopkins
And also X was playing injured last year w limited mobility. I think he also had trouble w one of the Cowboy receivers. When healthy, no one is abusing him. Sure they may beat him for a TD here or there - like Ted Ginn beat Revis on a bomb once, but he’s the best player on this football team on all sides of the ball right now. Yes, Tua will take that spot but at the moment, when it’s about what have you done / not what will you do, Howard is our most accomplished player. I don’t think it’s even close. I’m glad we locked him up. All the talk about w the signing of Jones and drafting of Noah Iggypopbananabread that we were dumping Howard was crazy talk. We invested a ton of money into CBs beside it’s a passing league and Flo knows WTF he’s doing. Having 2 erasers out there at CB lets us dial up all kinds of creativity on D. No coincidence we haven’t lost since Jones came back from injury. And our defense is no 1 in the league since as well. Anyone who wants to trade either one of those guys must accept that the D would go back to CB2 getting abused over and over / us not getting anyone off of the field - the way it’s been since Madison and Surtain. I’m more convinced than ever - the way the game is played today - having 2 great CBs is the most impactful thing you can do on D.

I haven’t read every post on this board, but Howard is owed a whole lot of sorrys from a whole lot of posters on here.
I think it balances out because he missed a whole lot of games while getting paid a whole lot of money.

And I am not a poster who criticizes him.

He did miss alot of games I'll give you that. But he still leading the league in int since dec 2017. Imagine if he didn't miss any games.

I also think X was extra motivated to make up for the criticism he took after the Texican game last year.
