Q. How many CB's do we have, starter or backup on the current roster that make the play Butler made for the pats to win the game?

A. NONE!! Not Grimes or any other one. Why Because we don't have the coaching the Pats have. From the post game interview Butler stated that he KNEW EXACTLY WHAT PLAY WAS COMING, based on the formation, down and distance. Based on the 3WR bunch formation, and FILM STUDY, he knew there was only one play they were going to run there, and he jumped it before Wilson even threw the ball. THATS THE ONLY WAY HE COULD INT THE PASS, Seattle obviously put that play on film before and the patriots coaching staff had their DB's prepared for it. A backup CB who was working at footlocker not too long ago? Nice.

Q. If Bill B was Smoking Joe Philbin, how would that last play have went?

A. Smoking Joe expects a run to Lunch, sees the 3 WR set, gets "Queasy" calls a TO, gives Seattle time to rethink their strategy, Seattle comes to their senses, calls a running play for lynch, Seattle wins!

Q. How long will it take the dolphins to get where those teams are?

A. A long ass time. What we watched last night was what happens when great talent is merged with great coaches... That was a freaking Chess Match all night long, Seattle starting CB goes down, what do Pats do?? Pick on him. Starting LB goes out, what do Pats do, attack the flats and underneath with Vareen and Edelemen.

31 seconds left in the half, everyone thinks Seattle will just run out the clock and go into halftime.. what do they do? Drive the ball all the way down the field. Seattle gets in FG range with 6 seconds left do they take the 3? NOPE they throw a back shoulder pass in the endzone, if he drops it, take the FG, he catches it... TD.

Seattle needs to drive the length of the field in 2 min, they identify the mismatch covering Lynch, calls a double move and hits lynch deep down the sideline for a huge play..

It will be a long time before we see that type of talent\coaching mesh again here in Miami. I'm just hoping it's in my lifetime.

The SeaChickens are running the same offense Russell Wilson ran Wisky and NC State. Not exactly hard to figure out.

Maybe, but same scenario on the other side, backup DB covering Edelman, pats run a fake slant out route. Wide open but but Brady overthrows it. Later in the game, same formation similar down and distance. SAME PLAY, Go ahead TD. DB coach should have told him, they might come back to that play later, look for it if they get in similar down and distance

I definately said that philbin wouldve ran the clock out and went into halftime down 7 knowin hes getting the ball at half.

Popeye's , I believe Butler worked at Popeye's and Seahawks WR Matthews worked at Foot Locker. At least that's what I thought I heard.

We have CB's that can make that play, but you are right questioning whether the staff can figure schemes out.

It always seems that this team focuses more on what we do instead of exploiting what other teams do. That is a big difference in in game coaching changes based on what they show and who gets hurt etc. I would just like to see us install quick snaps for plays that may be reviewable and defensive substitutions. That would be a start but for some reason we don't even think of minor things like that...

That's exactly right on all counts. Philbin would do just that.

You can clearly see the 2 best coached teams going at it toe to toe in the Superbowl. Unfortunately for us, as long as we have a mediocre coach in Philbin, the results will continue to show just that. This is why you see the same teams in the playoffs year after year. Head coaches play a bigger factor in winning and losing than some fans realize.

Anyone else notice both Belichick and Carroll constantly roaming up and down the sidelines and the benches coaching up the players after possessions? And adjusting to in game situations. That is what great coaches do. We are stuck with a lame duck who just stands in 1 spot for the entire game like a dummy with that clueless look on his face. I never see Philbin coaching up anybody during the course of the game, let alone make an in game adjustment.

That field goal is what did Seattle in. That was the drive for a play action not the drive with 30 seconds left. Their next TD with the Play action left the receiver wide open for the TD. Anyway, Pats were a better team because Seattle couldn't figure out how to leave a LB covering the middle for all the Pics the cheaters run. You have to zone cover them when they're playing dink and dunk. Seattle did a better job tackling than we did even tough the Eddleman duck and run worked every time.

I definately said that philbin wouldve ran the clock out and went into halftime down 7 knowin hes getting the ball at half.

Actually that is not true.
remember him using timeouts before half against New England resulting in a Wallace td before half?

Philbin is not a good coach, but it isn't fair to say what he would do, when in fact he did the opposite

We have a coaching staff full of worthless assistants who can't develop players. We sit and watch these players go to other teams and excel. Do guys like Rob Ninkovich ring a bell?

The Patriots could probably take guys like Jamar Taylor and make a Pro Bowler out of him. Imagine what Belichick could do with Dion Jordan. We don't have a clue as to how to use him.
