Again, short but sweet.

First-and-10 observations

1. With apologies to Marvin Lewis, Tony Dungy and Jon Gruden, Nick Saban had the best September of any NFL coach. Give Saban his second upset win of the month, as the Dolphins stun the Panthers 27-24. With Jake Delhomme marching down the field, pacing the Panthers for a go-ahead score, Lance Schulters seemingly came out of nowhere to pick off Delhomme with about two minutes to go, setting up Olindo Mare's game-winning field-goal for the Fish.

Also this:

Rookie of the week
Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown
What a brilliant game against the Panthers for the second overall pick in April's draft. Brown ran with a purpose, shredding the tough Carolina defense to the tune of 132 yards and a touchdown. His biggest run came with a burst when Miami started a second half drive from its own 2-yard line, taking the ball to midfield. Brown also had a big catch for a first down.
