It is waay too early to pass judgement on what Miami is doing this off season, as official FA will not get crazy for two days. That said, what has happened so far was most definitely different that what I or anyone anticipated.

The transition tag for OV may work out but, I wonder why we were not given the right to match any offer without it. It would have made life easier on the cap unless there is some bad blood between OV and the team

The restructure of Suh was needed because of the tag on OV. Not what I wanted to see.

The trade was a bit of a shocker as I think we could have picked up Maxwell's equal or better in FA for the same with no trade. Kiko may work out but, here we go again with another injury prone player. For $1M next year and the restructured Misi, maybe they can combine for 16 games.

Much is yet to be written on what Ross and Tannenbaum will do the rest of this off season.

For me, I'm betting that it was not what I hoped for and we will be looking at another quick fix next year. I REALLY do hope I am wrong.

I think the secondary will be the main target area from here on out. Pacman Jones makes a lot of sense. If Miami can get some good players on the cheap maybe Olivier Vernon will be back.

It is hard to predict what the Dolphins will do, but if the compensation is favorable (low pick or picks) I like bringing in Kiko and Maxwell. Maxwell was awfully good in Seattle playing #2 with Sherman on the other side. Kiko is a huge injury risk so the team needs to still add there.

i like the trade as long as we didnt give up too much. maxwell will fit our scheme alot better, and Kiko is a stud when healthy. i think he will be fine. cut grimes and sign pacman and we are in good shape. we need to sign miller, and draft a fs and we a in really good shape imo

Kiko is a low risk high reward move. Nothing wrong with that. Maxwell is overpaid. If we gave anything more then a 6th we got hosed.

I'm not a tannebaum fan. Seems as though he tries to rebuild with big splashes instead of through the draft, but I'm hoping for the best. Maxwell restructure would be nice as well.

Anyone who trust what our FO does this quick has forgotten we haven't won a super bowl since 1973. Untill they prove that they're making better choices they can't be trusted. We're all waiting to see what we gave up and what kind of contracts we're taking on but I have a bad feeling about it. Hope I'm wrong

Anytime you have to restructure a large contract within the first year of making it, it shows you screwed up as a front office. You obviously didn't look ahead and really look at the needs, depths and challenges of the team moving forward....either with that large contract, or the others made along with it.

Then on top of it you bring in another bad contract in Maxwell. I don't care if it's not guaranteed after this year, it's still 8.5M now for a guy who isn't worth half that.

I trust Vance Joseph's vision for this defense. I see a team that is going to primarily run out of the nickel, so i appreciate that we are going to have Kiko and Misi's reps limited and sharing time. I am curious to see how Jelani Jenkins does this upcoming season. We have some very raw, young LB's and CBs who are developing and can fill in some roles and packages. Let the full vision play out. The staff judge who is worth developing out of this group. Cleyon Lainge, Tony Lippett, Mccain, Vigil, Michael Thomas, Jordan Phillips, Terrance Fede, (ugh) Walt Aikens. Lets let Joseph evaluate these guys and see what he can do with them. Lets see who else they add.

We have had good players that under performed. Leave judging the cap and dollars spent to experts. Year after year we worry about the cap and year after year they do find a way to get the players they want. If it bites us in the ass in 2 years from now, so be it. we'll have to draft well to supplant those who walk. Hopefully, and with good reason, I think we can finally believe we have a staff that can get the utmost out of this group.

The #1 signings for Miami have already happened imo in Gase and Joseph.

We have a core of good players in Wake, Suh, Jones, (Vernon?), Albert(?), Pouncey, Landry, Tannehill... maybe Parker and even ajayi.

we are doing dumb **** again.

How is this different?

For once did you ever think that this wasnt just a trade? That Vance and Gase looked at a corner and LB that could play in the system? You always criticize but never come up with solutions. It is clear they need to replace or turnover parts of this roster. How are they to do it?

properly, with young cheap players with long term upside.

we need a deep rebuil
i am fine with taking a punt on alonso and seeing if he can get back to where he was

Ok so Tannenbaum and Gase have that kind of time? Long gone are the days of having to wait to rebuild. Part of the equation they are banking on his Gase and a 5th year from RT. I dont know if that will work, but you don't see any moving and shaking from that side of the ball. The time is now. Let's see who gets cut today. That will tell you all you need to know about a plan. The majority of this roster was PT (pre Tannenbaum), so replacements are on the way. Just how young do you want to get? How cheap? The draft is limited

For 8.5 million we definately could pick up a better player than Maxwell

very -nroster sucks ass. Tannenbaum will never do it, but if this team is ever going to go anywhere it needs to be done.
