I know many people are down on Wallace for "quitting" on the team BUT lets see if we can look at it a different way. If the reports are true that Wallace wasn't in the gameplan or the Gameplan was to go elsewhere with the ball, I would argue that the OC and HC quit on the team because not having your BEST WR who you're paying 60M dollars to in the game plan is criminal and should be questioned by not only Wallace but the entire team, staff, owner AND fans. Hell you can get any WR to go out there and run around and not get thrown the ball.

Secondly, what #1 WR do you know that would be OK with not being involved in the gameplan? Show me one, and I'll show you one that I don't want on my damn team. Dez Bryant had issues with his coaching staff and teammates and wasn't shy about letting them know. Jerry Jones didn't trade him, Terrell Owens was the same way, Brandon Marshall, Micheal Irvin, Randy Moss, Chris Carter etc... The list goes on and on. Wallace didn't invent the term Diva Receiver. There's a reason why that termed was coined and given to WR... Most Great ones are ****y and want the ball and if they don't get it, they complain. It is what it is. How do you think Dez Bryant or TO would behaved if the GAMEPLAN was to go elsewhere with the ball?? Probably much worst than Wallace. And from all accounts this has been brewing for a while which tells me that there were other gameplans where the focus was to go elsewhere with the ball and Wallace made it to the last game of the season without it REALLY blowing up. If we were winning, (ala the patriots) then you probably can get away with that as a coaching staff, but if you're LOSING.... it will surely boil over and i'm sure there are other players that felt Wallace's pain and agreed with how he was feeling.

Players like Kobe Bryant and MJ get applauded for wanting the ball in their hands and players like Lebron James got criticized because it was perceived that he didn't. But Wallace gets upset because he's not included in the gameplan and voices that displeasure and he gets crucified for it. I DON'T GET It. Could he have handled it a better way? Sure, but I totally get where he's coming from and I think the COACHES NEED TO PROVIDE ANSWERS!! Which I don't think they've done yet. As a matter of fact, i don't think any reporters have even asked the question! WHY WAS WALLACE NOT IN THE GAMEPLAN, OR WHY WAS THE GAMEPLAN TO GO ELSEWHERE WITH THE BALL? If they answer that, that wasn't the gameplan, then my reply would, be SOOOO WHY WASN'T WALLACE TARGETED IN THE FIRST HALF? Was he not open? If they so no, I'd reference specific situations where he WAS OPEN and the QB never looked his way! DON'T GET FOOLED BY THE SMOKESCREEN GUYS... WE NEED ANSWERS! Because guess what, if we bring another #1 type WR and don't include them in a gameplan, WE WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE THE SAME DAMN PROBLEM!!

Brian Hartline should be screaming about his use this season
but he publicly did not complain. After two consecutive 1000 yard + seasons
for whatever reason decided Hartline was not going to be part of the game plans for the most part.

Imagine being targeted 131 and133 times in back to back seasons, then being targeted 63 times the following season

No need to wonder why Hartline had 3 games with zero receptions,3 games with 1 reception, and 3 games with 2 receptions
when all Hartline was this season was an after thought.

Teams try to put players in a position to be successful but what happened to Hartline has
me scrathing my head wondering WTF were they thinking

Talk about using stats to make a player seem like a world beater. If you watched this entire year and didn't see that Jarvis Landry is a much more talented player than Hartline, then I don't know what to tell you. Hartline just wasn't that good, certainly not a #2 and not an ideal slot guy. He's a #4 WR, I've said that from day 1. It doesn't mean he can't make plays and catch the ball but you are "losing" if you settle for him as a #2 option. As a fill in, fine, but long term usage as a #2 WR means you have a ****ty offense.

I would say the big difference between those players and Mike Wallace is that they want to be the BEST. I can't say I've seen that desire from M.Wallace on the Tube or Live.

How often have you seen him sacrifice is body for a catch? Block like his life depended on it? Pretty much go above and beyond for himself and/or team? A player like Dez Bryant has more right(although its not right) to be a Diva because you see it in most games with him.

Mike Wallace shows it in maybe 2 plays (out of how many?) 4 games...

Look no further than a WR like J.Landry if you want clear example of a player that wants to be great. If Landry had M.Wallace speed he would have absolutely been a Top 5-10 pick...

I totally agree with you! And if you recall, there was a story early in the season about how Hartline was not pleased with how he was being used. But not many people bring that up. I think the coaches need to be accountable and explain. How in the world does a guy that has was targted over 130 times and put together 2 consecutive 1000 yard seasons not be targeted half as much the next season? Did he forget how to get open? IJS

I hear you but Different players have different skill sets and attributes. Wallace bring something to the table Neither Dez or Landry have and that's world class speed. And while i think Dez is clearly a better overall WR, Wallace is THIS TEAMS best WR therefore if he's not included in the gameplan, the coaching staff should be questioned about it. And he has the right to ask the question.

he has ask questions all day, but causing a disruption where he doesnt play the second half is another story,
We can cut this heartless wonder anytime for all I care.
We are not winning crap this year anyway

There is no other side to the story . He quit on the team he doesn't get along with our qb who is MUCH more valuable than an overpaid #2 receiver...... He has to go . Also there are reports now that he pulled a similar stunt in the NE game

But according to reports, he's been asking questions all year. At some point you gotta take a stand. And saying " I'm not playing anymore" as opposed to "If you're not going to include me in the game plan then I might as well not play" is two totally different things.

Ok Mr there are no two sides to the story. So you are ok with our best WR not being a major part of the game plan to the point to where he was not even targeted at all in the first half of the jets game? Take out how he handled the situation and focus on the question. Are you ok with the gameplan? If your answer is yes, then fine we can agree to disagree. But if you're like me and are not OK with that gameplan, then it's ok for EVERYONE ELSE to question it but when a player, someone who is actually going out there getting bruised, bleeding and taking years of his life can't question it?

I don't care if he yells at everyone in the organization about wanting the ball, he crossed the line when he refused to play. also, complaining when the team is successful,(after a TD or a win) shows his selfishness

Mike Wallace got angry because his teammate scored a TD. That's just disgusting and there is no excuse for that attitude. Completely wrong in every way.

also, if the gameplan calls for Wallace to clear an area for Clay, he needs to STFU and do his job

agree. I like Hartline and want him on the team but as a complimentary guy you go to in mis-match situations because your 1-3 recievers are tying up the other teams best cover guys. He could be awesome used that way but we pay him too much. Oye.

This.

Wallace is not a great receiver like aome of you guys make him out to be...odell beckham had 91 catches for 1300yds and 12tds...mike wallace has only had one year even remotely close to that in his 6 year career. Wallace is not that good....beckham put those numbers up in 12 games as a rookie. Thats a true #1 receiver....wallace is not. So stop all this crap about how you cant replace wallace....hes fast and thats it, dude can be replaced by a real football player with less speed.
